Is the roller furling attached to the forestay or do you have a separate forestay? I had a boat once and the sail and roller furling were also the forestay, I am trying to set up my day sailer the same way

ok, 7 knots in a 16ft boat is theoritically impossible, just like my california ability to spell, but you sold me on this boat.....

It's 19' and according to my phone I've gone 11 knots in it. Definitely faster than my 23'.

Hi there, I’ve got a near identical task on my hands. Please can you tell me what you used to scrape the paint and then the actual paint you used. Thank you!
@hinghamkarate3 жыл бұрын
I used a wire brush. I think I'd use a pressure washer if I did it again. Then wire brush. I used behr marquis exterior satin white. Probably Glidden gripper primer. Lots of boat people said I was crazy for not using over priced boat paint,, but all these years later still looks great.

@hinghamkarate Hi, From Puerto Rico, I appreciate your paint advice. I hope your boat still good looking inside.😊

I'll give you A benefit of the doubt on it myself. Cause your only buying.& replacing bad parts.& etc. It needs on the boat.& trailer to begin with is all basically. I mean come on man the pandemic is still around.& people enjoy watching things like that in hard times.& struggles to aswell.
@johnhicks95293 жыл бұрын
Ya man what's up with not videoing it before.& after? While in the restoration process procedure aswell to. People wan't.,or might wan't to see that being videoed. After all you got the boat for free right man. Why not show off your free boat by videoing the restoration process to of it. Your only paying for parts.& videoing time on the KZbin channel for viewing it live.,or regularly to begin with. So what's the big deal of not videoing it on youtube in the process?
@capecoddaysailing67933 жыл бұрын
Sorry gave up on it and got another boat. Should be posting on that one soon.
@johnhicks95293 жыл бұрын
You can add bearing buddies hub bearing caps with grease serts inside of them. Use marine grease.& greasegun for your wheel hub bearings for it. Is one ocean preparation step 1. Then undercoat the trailer for the saltwater use step 2. Step 3 you'll need to coat the bottom of the boat for saltwater aswell to for proper use.& holdup ability in those conditions.& elements also. Then step 4 use none ethonal FUEL& stable fuel stabilizer in your fuel when not using it much. Step 6 make sure you cover.& seal it up good when storing it basically is all. Step 7 keep up all maintenance such changing the oils regularly in the outboard motor.& impeller drive shaft gear unit. The drain is the fill from bottom up.& the top drain plug screw is the vent.& level checking vent overflow port .

Hi, I gave him a dislike because I think that if you are going to make a video showing your new free boat we all want to see it well, and see what the before and after restoration process is like.
