I worshipped Chris Cornell. Ian is probably every bit as good a vocalist and musician. In my humble opinion.

Afie. That solo, especially the country lick , is so incredibly clean. Can't help but do guitar face while listening to it. Thanks to you and the band for the creation.

Ian, I did a remix of your song. I hope you enjoy it. I've been a fan since the first time I saw you on the tour where Big Wreck opened for Dream Theater. Big Wreck-Blown Wide Open-HD (1080P) remastered and enhanced UNOFFICIAL FAN MADE MUSIC VIDEO w/Lyrics kzbin.info/www/bejne/qITYlIKsjK2mj5I&lc=UgyKDWoJTCeI_XveBat4AaABAg This version of the song is so beautiful in this version. Your vocals are so hauntingly soulful. It's like listening to a banshee calling out to a lost love, heart breaking, and reaching for redemption. The music video, wow. I was not expecting the road it went down. I have to ask you, "What or who inspired this format?" Who directed it, who was the screen writer? The cinematography is fantastic, and the lighting is on point. Question. For the original music video from the ILMO record. Who at Atlantic thought it was a good idea to cut out almost a minute of total song time? That genius deserves a sledgehammer upside the head. BTW, Atlantic fucked you guys. Typical of them when back then, labels chose who was and who wasn't going to be the next big thing. They should have given you that push they gave other 90s bands of the time. I still say to this day, you have the absolute best guitar tone of all-time!

This had me up until that weird ending climax. You can't redo a brilliant melody and think that's it's better. Clearly not. Very self serving.

Does anyone know what effect he uses on the chorus? Sounds like reverb, it almost sounds like a slide guitar 🎸

Check this out! Big Wreck from Canada. Ian Thornley is a monster player and his voice is eerily similar to Chris Cornell. My “new” favorite player.

We all need to help send Big Wreck World wide. Yes..a DVD or at least get these live videos from all the Suhr shows out in the public everywhere. I think they came out when the internet took over..where records sold less..plus all the rickers were having families..just unlucky timing. Plus..whoever- if anyone- was in charge of marketing these guys did not do a good enough job as well. Anyways..my God I'm a huge fan. Guitar player and songwriter myself..and I'm Taki g a huge huge cue and I fluency from Ian Thornley now. Thankyou Ian and all of Big Wreck. Behind you all the way!!!

This guy is a real musician with genuine passion for the art of music. He doesn’t care about the superficial side of the business . He just keeps playing , creating and mesmerizing those of us who have an appreciation for the deeper side of music. What a gem that I doubt the masses will ever understand.
