@FortressLocksmiths I have done it twice using the flag tool out the kit but I couldn't genuinely tell you how. Just somehow found a sweet spot at the back that engaged the cam to turn

I just got my arse kicked off a Chubb 3M50 today. The lock was installed in the 70's to a door on a 400 year old manor house. Brutal.

How did you identify the lock type so easily just by looking through the keyhole? do they all look very obviously different? Cheers

@@windskim1 an old video but a goody, yes once you get good at it you can identify most mortice locks through the keyhole

@@DollyMat no not at all, these mean that if you’re locked out then a good locksmith isn’t going to have to drill your locks and charge you a fortune!

@ I understand your apprehension, but it is our job to know how to open these and other locks non destructively. Imagine this scenario, you are nipping out to the car and you pull the door to accidentally locking yourself out but your keys inside. Would you prefer a proper locksmith to come and open your door in a minute or two and you can still use your keys, or some rogue who turns up drills your lock and charges a fortune to replace everything. I only mate it look easy because I have years of practice so don’t worry honestly
