No. With the swinging action of a jerkbait and the duel trebles they can get caught in the side. These fish all went to eat👍🏼

I love Jerkbaits. I troll them with my kayak. I love Rapalas but lately I'm been into Dynamic Lures. I discovered them when I was at Bass pros one day! My last few videos I posted have been nothing but Dynamic Jerk lures, Rapalas and some bottom fishing with power bait balls (rainbow). Appreciate your video I just subbed! Fish on and tight lines!

I've been here so long now I'm a Washingtonian! lol Going to hit one of my favorite lakes this Friday for some Jumbo trout, my buddy Lake Hopper was there a couple weeks ago and he limited on some hogs! I usually premiere all my outings on Sundays, SO I will have Fridays video ready then!

Should you have a certain line for the mono like should it be float line or does it not matter

Most mono floats or at least sinks very slowly. In float fishing you want it to float. The line I used in the video was made for float fishing. But regular mono would probably work as well. Tight Lines🎣🎣

Seeing that line takeoff is so much fun! We have a pond ourselves and we feed our fish everyday but it’s pretty rare to see the big catfish. But when you do it’s so cool! I was wading onetime in our pond and one of the bigger catfish actually came up to me! One of the coolest experiences ever. Tight lines!

You’re all good. I’m also seeing this late. If you want a rod for both big trout(lake run trout) and salmon I wouldn’t go lower than an 8 wt personally. I’ve been destroyed by plenty of kings on my 8 wt. Tight lines🎣

What a nice fishing area! Do you recommend using snap swivel with a jerkbait? I find it convenient so I can easily swap between baits but not sure if having a snap swivel has an impact on suspending jerk baits.

I made marks on my rods with a sharpie or something comparable starting at 12" from the butt going up to 20. That way I never need to carry the extra weight of a tape but always have something to measure with! Nice fish!

I’ve never heard of someone using a snare in the USA. I’m guessing it’s illegal in the State of Utah where I live. It would depend on the state you live in or are visiting though.

In my situation the fly rod is what I had. Other than that it probably doesn’t make sense. It’s definitely nice to have a longer handle/fighting butt for centerpin fishing.
