Hello friend!!! Can you send me a picture of the fuel pump connector? I am redoing a harness and need references for connectors. I would appreciate it. Regards.

I was involved in this build with Practical Sportsbikes magazine back in 2011-12. I carried out the wheels and front end fitting, plus getting it to final assembly point once the motor was in. Was a lovely old bike, and i've just done a Rainey replica recently using my old drawings for reference!!!

Hi Simon, sorry for the late reply. The wheels and front and rear suspension set up was very sweet. Always the first thing people commented on. Nicely done. I am sure your Rainey rep . is awesome.Good health to enjoy.👍😎

The little pauses before key moments, either editing mistakes or intentional teasing lmao. Have an '08 650, but she's no Mk1 B12. No other bike like the bandit. Living my dream mate. Might see if I can get specifically a '97 one a some point soon. Probably have to import from Europe to Ireland tho, they're getting rare.

The opening sequence was inspired by the opening sequence from an old 70s biker flick called "Stone" . It's a cool cult classic. Keep living the dream my friend, good fortune with your 650 .😎👍

Hello Sir, Sorry for late reply . 🙏 I ain`t been biking for quite a while . Cost of living caught up with me and I had to sell all my big bikes, still have the DR400 , but I think she will have to go soon as well. Can`t really complain as I have enjoyed 40 odd years of biking , and survived relatively unscathed . 😎 Good luck with your `84 . Time is precious , so get those spanners out. Ride safe. 👍🏍

Hi , sorry for the late reply. Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. Aye , the wee bike is trick , always got plenty of admirers. Unfortunately I have had to sell all my bikes after 45 years riding. ... one thing and another. 😕 Hopefully I can get a winter project for next spring, as two wheel cold turkey is something new to me and it sucks ,but who knows. Anyway, all the best with your Kwacker project. Nice one for saving another one. Ride safe.😎👍

Hello Ratty, Although technically correct, there are no significant differences between MK 1 and MK2 so the mod is still relevant. In my experience most people consider them the same and refer to the 2001 model as the MK 2 which had a major revamp. 😎

Beautiful bike! I had the privilege of owning a Formula Extreme prepped SP (the pink one) and for years it remained the fastest bike I'd ever ridden. That's including the original Repsol blade and the 50th anniversary R1. Every part had been upgraded to the race part, Wiseco big bore 890 kit and the frame had been sprayed with truck bedliner to try and make it even stiffer. Bike was on rails and sounded like something outta Mad Max. Would power wheelie in the first 3 gears. Didn't look that pretty but holy crap that thing was a blast to ride.

Hello Kev. I just got your comment. All the work was done was by a previous owner. I know it has a Dynajet kit fitted , so probably tuned to suit the race can. Also has a KN air filter if I remember. I sold the wee bike last year to a professor of engineering who loves track days. Sorry I can`t be more help buddy . Good luck. 😎

@johnsnowsghost2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gareth, Thanks for your comment. I have tried a lot of different settings on the Gopro, I can't seem find one that gives nice footage when travelling at any speed. For an action cam it's not great in any sort of action, especially if the surroundings are busy with detail like trees and hedges. I find walking in the woods filming is to much for the processor. Maybe the newer ones are better, but I wouldn't recommend the 7 Black as an action cam. Ride safe on your 12. 👍😎

Just took my '97 out for my first spin on it. What a nice ride. My overwhelming impression of the Bandit 1200 is one of smoothness and effortlessness. In other news, it got up to 58 degrees today. That'll seem chilly later on, but for mid-March, I'll take it! Have a great riding season.

Outstanding, heard the 1200, had more mid range torque, than the 1250 Bandit, but my late beloved fuel inj.650 Bandit??? Best bike eve,r and I ain't even lying, Bandit time Perfect Storms, AMAZING. Felt like an industrial catapult got it away, bit like an unarmed Exocet , Sidewinder missile. All the best, Professor Bandit fuel inj.650 B.T.E. out. A Phd in Bandit Torque Enjoyment only, nothing technical. Hopefully only a semi retired Banditateer fekkin Banditaholic. Ruined for any other bike, 58, 59 times more biking joy than in 84, my nearly new GPZ 750 turbo, kicked it's pants countless times, heard first production bike any size, to do the standing quarter mile in 10 seconds, OH FOR A HEALTHY BANDIT.

I have owned 3 of these in my many years and to be honest one of the best bikes I have ever ridden !! Over shadowed by the blade sadly as a lot of folk went the Honda route as apposed to this bike !! BIG MISTAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having ridden and owned both, this bike, is far far superior in my humble opinion in both handling and most certainly in speed !!!! I know the Honda die hard's will not agree but 9 times out of 10 they ain't ridden one of these beasts !!!! They are something else if you look hard enough there is a you tube up load where one of these beat an R1 a blade and Kawasaki on the day it should not even have been there it was if I recall the sound mans bike leant up against the toilet wall "have a look and find they did it as a joke but the joke ended up being on the other bikes In fact if my memory serves me well Yamaha took the R1 back to see what the issues were Anyway thanks for the up load highliting a fantastic machine that deserves more praise than it has ever received over the years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
