The noise is technically efficiency loss. I thought racing was about push boundaries and driving faster. When it comes to the cars, that's about engineering. The noise can impress someone, but it's not what the race is about, IMO

It's always hard, seeing something you love change in a way you don't like. I also think the v10 era was the greatest of all time. But sport evolves and the image of the sport changes everytime. The fact isn't that officials are cowards, it is simply money. The sport has to be attractive for sponsors, it has to push the envelope of technology and it needs to entertain the viewers. There are many who share this opinion, but technology will always move forward and I think that although I miss the sound, the engineering behind the cars, the strategic play, the atmosphere and the ridiculousness of the sport is unchanged. But yeah especially watching it live must be a night and day difference

It's not clear which year Eddie is referring to, but the power output hasn't changed that much so I assume he's really talking about high engine RPMs. Since modern engines have limited fuel flow it isn't possible to rev so highly, and "cowardly" seems a bizarre word for fuel economy measures.

TBH when he started talking about the bad direction that the sport had taken I assumed he was talking about the numerous farcical race director's decisions, especially those which threw the 2021 season. Masi lost his post because of poor judgment, yet the result stood? These days, I only watch it to see Stroll crash. At least you know that's not fixed :))

Not really. I've heard custom bike revving, more powerful than the ones used in MotoGp and afterwards an F1 car. The engine of an F1 car is whole different level. Compared with F1, MotoGP is like a fly to a wall.

This shows the difference between a good driver and a legendary driver. Verstappen knows and uses the rules to the Max. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose by the FIA... but the risk is all worth it. Makes you 4th time world champion😂. 2 wheels on good side of the lane is ok with FIA. Verstappen is already a legend to me. Just like Hamilton and Alonso on the current F1 grid.

3 time world champion (in waiting). He will never be seen as 21 champion ever... in my or any other proper racing fan. Won by a spanner making a name for himself for the sake a ratings. How many rules did he blatantly disregard so max could be right behind lewis then bring the safety car in 😢🤬 and before you say owt shite, yes they both twist on 21 and great drivers but lewis was wronged that day.

@@michaelduffy9677, you have to get over that mate. Am neutral F1 fan and think the rules were bended in a wrong way that day. Teambosses are wrong themselves by agreeing on a race don't end under safetycar years ago. Hamilton was robbed due the safetycar ending rules were not applied good, but Verstappen did nothing wrong and is in my opinion the real 21 champ. Masi should have let all backmarkers go, or none. But not only 5 and don't even let them join the end of the field before race restart. So the rules bended by Masi definatly helped Verstappen. But if you look to the season as a total, both Verstappen and Hamilton deserved the title... but it went dutch deserved.
