Nate, I'm hearing/watching videos of how bad the inflation is now and the rents are skyrocketing. Beginning to wonder how economical it is to live in Belize. Any input?

The cost of living is much lower than many parts of the US, but there are other factors to consider. It depends on what you are looking for and how well you might feel living in another country with a different culture. What you have saved up will also be a big influence on how well your living down here might be. It's harder finding a job and buying an existing business is a more costly investment.

I’m a resident on the next door island Caye Caulker I rarely visit San Padro and simply amazed with the level of construction there.

Yes, its been getting busy lately. I've traveled enough Caribbean islands to know that growth is inevitable. The real estate prices are still much lower for what you get, on similar islands, imho.

Thanks Nate, I looked into that development years ago too. I really did a deep dive. It's what got me to look deeper into Belize also. I was always wondering what happened. The plans sure were nice though. I ended up purchasing on Ambergris Caye. Great info Nate, thanks.
