Nate, if I wanted to build a home with pier is finding an open lot or home that could be demolished effective? Or, could one find an existing home with pier? Are you a real estate agent?

Yes, I am an agent. I don't think finding a tear-down near town would be effective. I would try to find something already existing and modify or add on. There are beachfront lots about 4 miles south that you could build on.
