I hope they build replacements for the different variations of the M113 based on the Redback chassis sooner rather than later as the M113 is an aluminium coffin well past it's use by date. The Redback IFV needs to tick a few boxes but with a few tweaks such as an RWS with a 12.7mm MG or 7.62mm MG while also having a 30/40mm Mk-44 dual feed main gun with an Airburst Ammunition capability integrated into the turret it ends up pretty good. Definitely one of the best Infantry Fighting Vehicles on the market if equipped correctly. Feel free to read my comments about the Redback IFV on Contact on KZbin. It certainly looks like they are setting the stage for a long and fruitful partnership with Hanwha. The K9 Thunder in all it's versions is currently the best self-propelled artillery piece on the market so I am sure the rest of the vehicles will continue the world leading legacy. 😎🇦🇺👍

Thats a lovely presentation with guitar backing for hypnosis of the ears this is the most catchy redback video I've seen it not over done with a lot of shit its just self explanatory in a short amount of time an the guitar then not being repetitive it just works as hypnosis you could watch a couple times

Hoping for a full fleet size of 500 plus. Would be a great extension of force for a change. Would recommend making some new ads for defence tho. Need more people then ever before

The Fed Gov have cut back on the contract. Now that they have ripped off every man woman and child with these useless subs, INF will now have to march even more with the diminishing of the original contract with the Redbacks. What a joke..

Hope Government has a follow on purchase of Redbacks... 129 vehicles is a start but well below the number that Defense needs.... Having our troops riding around in M113 is a bloody joke and Government should be ashamed !

I don’t think close combat is the priority atm, it’s long range equipment. Likely a second batch will be ordered late this decade.

As an expat and ex-Korean soldier living in Australia for more than 30 years now I'm bloody proud of being both Korean and Australian. That's 100% sure that Australia and Korea will be in a win-win partnership for everything down the track. May the bilateral relations go forever...

This is why (besides having the superior vehicle) I'm glad Hanwha won the contract; IMO, Australia and South Korea is the logical and idea defence partnership - forged in the past, strengthening the future.

I consider a system with perhaps 4 of these in conjunction with a gepard system with the same range an as these as back up because they are developing drones to take them out

주포는 호주꺼 파워팩은 독일꺼 궤도는 캐나다산 능동방어는 이스라엘꺼 투시경도 이스라엘꺼 강판은 호수꺼 우리는 무기 통합시스템만 우리꺼 400대 인가 그보다 적은가 이거 호주현지 생산 하는거 마진은?ㅋㅋㅋ 비판하려는 의도 아님 그냥 그렇다고 하는 거임 이거 생산되면은 국내용으로도 이 정도 스펙으로 제공되기를 요즘은 굳이 모든 걸 다 국산화 해서 성능이 떨어지는 걸 무기에 달 필요는 없다고 본다 깐 앞으로 우리 군에도 이정도 스펙으로 보급해 달라고 요구한다 !!!! 앞으로 파워팩과 주포와 능동방어 시스템 정도는 우리꺼 달아도 될 정도로 끌어 올려주시길 21장갑차 폴란드 수주하려고 보여줄때 가다가 시동 꺼져서 개망신 당한거 망신이라고 챙피해 하지 말고 기술 계발에 좀 더 노력을 해줄 필요가 있다고 봅니다 그런 장갑차 타고 다니는 우리 군인들 얼마나 불쌍합니까 기존에는 기술 모자라는거 군인들 갈아넣어서 대비하던거 이제는 저 출산으로 우리 군인 한명 한명이 소중한 자산이이 이제는 군대도 바뀌어야 합니다 인명 경시 사상 이제 인명 존중사상으로 바뀌고 우리 무기들 극에 맞춰서 고 사양으로 달고 나가서 싸울 때 기계 값 때문에 인명 사상되는 일은 이제부터는 없어 지게 해야 합니다 ~ 2023년 예산에 국방부 예산 깎여서 나오고 그 비용으로 용산 집무실 이전 비에 썪어서 썼다는데 24년 예산은 더 깎여서 배정 될 것 같은데 경상수지 반토막 나고 국가재정 엉망으로 해놔서 다음 년도 예산 갈 수록 깎여서 나올 것 같은데 2023년 9월 안에 윤석렬 정권 완전히 퇴진되게 하소서 불과 2년되 채 되지 않아서 대한민국 경제 거의 반토막가까이 말아 드셨습니다 30분에 한 분이 자살을 할 정도로 지금 바닥 경제는 말도 안되게 무너져 가고 있습니다 20대 청년들은 하루에 4.3명 꼴로 자살하는 나라가 되었습니다 이대로 5년 임기 다 채우면 대한민국 거지 됩니다

Australia should go the way of neutrality, spend the 50 billion per year on making the people happier and successful and tourism will flourish. Buying weapons that do nothing except sabre rattling until it's time to upgrade 20 years later is an idiots game. The politician, the lobbyist and the weapon manufacturer are the only ones getting rich. Spoken as an ex-soldier.

It reminds me of the Bradley I.F.V. You now the ones that are getting shot up by Russian drones etc...not to mention the pommy Challengers UK... Leopards..... Russians know how to build tanks and "turrets"...& weapons to destroy them. Good Luck.

Redback was selected however initial order size was reduced from 400 to ~140, with the funds instead going into strengthening and expanding our long range ground strike and air defence units in army. More HIMARS systems, more SAM systems and development.
