I see it drives them mad with power and sexual blood lust, it also sounds like making the world your very own mental hospital for eternity where you drink blood packs every night. Immortality sounds more overrated than anything.

I love the part where Jesse wants to give David a goodbye hug, he recoils in fear, she appears hurt, then gives him a nod of understanding. That's where her humanity (and friendship for him) still shines through despite her now being a vampire. Very well acted in a subtle manner. Even though this flick is by no means a great movie, it still has its moments of brilliance. Stuart Townsend is also a very convincing Lestat.

The author of the books that this movie is based off of didn't like the adaptations but she loved the portrayals of Akasha and Louis. She was a little effie at first about Tom Cruise's Lestat but after seeing the movie she changed her tune. Other than those two actors and one actress she didn't like the movies at all.
