It looks like houdini 20.6.625 - Py3.10 no longer has Karma OCIO Color Transform node. :(

Wow… very majestic… very divine. This is the gold card for any science fiction space opera planning. We all plan for amazing shots. But very very very rarely do we actually pull them off.

@bakedagency Great and insightful talk, thanks! I also really love the scene start hda. Any pointers on how to get started on that?

looks like I have an issue with the random sampler in the Wedges, they are really tiny variations, like 1.278910 and 1.278930, instead of having litteraly 0.5 to 1.3 values

dont know what im doing wrong. when i create my curves/ shapes, the barbs dont show up like in this video.

Somehow the helicopter doesn't look believable in this shot. It looks like it was just added, but it is not one with the background. It looks like it was added “on top of the video”. Maybe because of the light of the sun, which is on the right in the original video, and maybe the color work too. I've watched it a couple of times and I can't figure out what exactly is confusing.

goodnight I would like to know if I can use this collaborative pipeline using Houdini Aprrendice, because even copying the code shown in this video gives an error in Houdini, an import error and I cannot access the folder with the otls, follow the code I copied from my json file: { "hpath": "C:/Users/Luciano/Desktop/ProjetoPegasus/ProjectFiles_LandscapeWorkflow/Houdini/Packages/PegasusDemo" } att Luciano Machado

Hopefully Renderman could finish the fundamentals course that was started when 24 came out. Include the new Solaris features too.

This is a very useful (and quite googleable!) demo of setting up both volume and lens shaders for Solaris/Karma. Great work, hugely appreciated and thankyou!!

Hi, I don't know why when I open the project file, it showed "Load warnings for H:/downloadAsset/learning-source-file/gamesworkshop_tech_track/Tech Track/MorganM_GroomingForGames/Chipmunk_groom.01.hip Warning: Problem while synchronizing child node: Warning: Too many elements found for parameter "/obj/Chipmunk_hairgen_body/BOUNDS Bounding Type". Id love to see side fx case studies on production assets, even the breakdowns would be great. Simple character like these doesn't really showcase the rigging for AAA anim.

Great speaker and great presentation! I liked approaching the importance of planning, and shots risk management chart - it is a great tool.

I can't get the "Calculate Distance" node to generate a non-zero result, so I'm getting a "Non-Zero Scale values required" error in my volume nodes. Capitalization is correct for the three lines of code. The Copy and Transform node can't use "dist" to add the additional grids unless I fix this. Houdini 20.
