I really hate that a lot of talking heads blamed regular French people for this, when there's plenty of instances of them speaking against it. All western countries are suffering from subversion of some sort, whether it be America, France, Britain, or any other Euro nation.

Well, unfortunately Christians were on the backpedal during the Umayyad conquest of the region. This however would be the start of the Reconquista for the Christians, with a foothold established in the north, and a slow but gradual reconquest of the region in the name of Christ.
