@paulmartin4971 I know mate I have loads of stuff I have left in my garden that should be in my shed to make more room to work on the lambretta and my shed is 23ft long . Never enough room lol and the lambretta is all rebuilt and road ready now but I think there will always be something to upgrade as its 63 years old lol thinking of upgrading the engine over the winter and still always want a chopper after watching your videos we will see keep the videos coming mate

Lovely original bike.. clean it, gentle re commission then leave as is. Shifter cover leave as is. No seat unfortunately, if i had one i would offer you first refusal. It'll be a nice addition to the chopper fleet

I was offered that bike .. but I already had a third hand Raleigh 20.. or 'Shopper' that my Auntie gave me for Christmas.. all these bikes ..I wish I had them now !! Lov the latest chopper paul I think it will look great clearcoated I know it's not the norm for you as you like them immaculate. But this one has something about it that says it should be left to show its life. Another brilliant video and take care buddy.

Hi Paul, another great video and good to hear my name mentioned again. I really think metal flake would be cool for a 1970's bike. The Honda CB 750 from 1969 and into the 70's had a metal flake colour called sunrise orange. I also think Kawasaki made their Superbikes of the 70's in metal flake colours. Have a look at Honda sunrise orange. Its the sort of thing that was around in the Evel Knievel era. Keep up the great videos and have a good weekend. Jerry

I've just had a look at sunrise orange and will add it to my list of possibles thanks for the suggestion, funnily enough I was looking at orange metal flake paint on ebay and it looks cool 😎I remember evel kenivel well but went off him cos he always used to crash, I need to act soon with this paint before it gets too cold ❄️, How's that lambretta coming along? Its not me with a Lambretta but I have had a Lambretta GP200 and GP125 in the past!. I've got a Honda Monkey 125 and a Kawasaki KV75 from 1978 at the moment. Yes, Evel Knievel crashed all the time. I think he broke just about every bone in his body! I loved the 1970's Evel stunt bike toy.

@@gingerphil Hi Phil as you know I'm not into the Rat 🐀 look but this Bike was too good to leave and it came in under budget!! Am going to clean it up just a bit more then clear coat it, am very pleased with it as you've probably gathered lol 😂 only a bit of wind noise today, wasn't really pleased with that one at all lol 😂 Will try and do better on Sunday, Have you still got your Grifter? What colour was it again? Mk2 wasn't it? Cheers 🥂

Love the Chopper, great find. I would leave the gear cover plate as is until you could find one with an older decal or maybe make a new one look old. For the other Chopper frame I would paint it the old Jag E-Type colour gun metal grey metallic.

@@gregpetterson Hi Greg thanks for the comment, yes that Chopper is a great find I love it even the chain wasn't seized, That gear console I've had a closer look at it and it's had something spilt on it like glue or something and it's not coming off so like you said will wait for an aged one to come up but have put an old gold decal on for now and it don't look bad, Will make a note of your colour choice very interesting! The etype is one of my all time favourite cars especially the mk3 5.3 V12 thanks for viewing and have a great weekend cheers 🥂

@@timmellor6685 Hi mate thanks for the comment, yes the sissy bar was free lol 😂 I ended up selling this bike but not before restoring it, Ended up doing another infa red to replace it, I don't tend to buy choppers now with stuck sissy bars as there a nightmare if this sort of thing interests you new video out Friday have got loads going on cheers 🥂

Thank you for the reply,yes I'm into my choppers,I have 14 in total,4 mk2's mk4's and the rest are mk3's. The MK2's 1x fizzy lemon fully restored,1 x prismatic being restored as we speak,( just waiting for chroming to be done) and I have a silver and space blue awaiting restoration and yes including the prismatic all 3 sissy bars are stuck- I did the prismatic in tact,just another 2 to go.......

@@timmellor6685 Hi mate yes them sissy bars are a nightmare especially for me being 6'5" lol 😂 if I'm going to even attempt to ride a chopper the seat and handle bars have to be set high..... That's what I like about my new project featured tomorrow but this one is only getting a clean and clear coat as its too original and quite a rare bike, you reminded me I did have a mk3 ultra violet quite a while ago now but didn't keep it long, so that means I've had 15 choppers in total 14 mk 2's of which I sold 4 because of stuck sissy bars lol 😂 have a great day and will be uploading video Friday morning cheers 🥂

Hi Paul, I really like the colour. Ford RS green. The Ford cars of the 1970's were great car's. I had a couple of Escorts, a Mk1 1300 Sport and a Mk2 1600 Sport as well as a silver Mk3 Capri, great times! It was me that suggested a Chopper in a 1970's Metalflake colour, 1970's Custom Car and Street Machine magazine inspired. Keep up the brilliant videos. Jerry

Morning paul mate i absolutely love it mate think it looks fantastic and certainly different! 😁 great work mate! I think there is a bit of confusion over the cable outers though mate i was thinking of them in silver to go with the prismatic decals rather than green to match the paint mate. But im sure it will look spot on whatever you do decide on mate 👌 also i know the film but did have to google it haha so i wont spoil it and see if anyone knows it off the top of theyre head 😂 keep up the great work mate them bars rechromed are going to look spot on!! 😁🍻👍

Hi Josh mate how was Paris? Yes there was confusion about the outers and I think silver chrome ish will look smashing super great!! And who used to say that on TV 📺? Lol 😂, I've decided to get rear mudguard chromed as well lol 😂 so only really need decent front mudguard and I think that will be all parts got! So until I get rear mudguard chromed or find a decent one there's not much I can do on it apart from put the crank on which has cleaned and polished up lovely!! Have a great weekend cheers 🍻

Watching again Paul bro ! ..I loved my 'Fizzy' as you know !! I'm not sure if I mentioned this to you before (oh the joys of dementia !! lol) but I used to ride my Chopper in the old bomb craters that were in the local woods. The German planes in WW2 apparently often could not find their targets in 'Blackout' ..so as they were heading home.. they just dropped their payload randomly to lighten the load.. I guess it would have been a bit dodgy landing with a load of bombs on board. Anywaywhichoo.. the Luftwaffe inadvertently made us kids an ideal place to ride our bikes.. but as I was standing up pedling my Chopper up the slope as momentum decreased I managed to fracture the handle bar ..I went over backwards like Bozo the clown 🤡 lol Bless Norman 🐾

Hey Josh mate nice to hear from you, The mother in law left yesterday she got a kick up the arse and my car set a new speed record lol 😂, am very pleased with the pedals they will look super smashing great, only really good bits going on the custard lol 😂, I chased Paul from chopper Central and the paint and decals will be here Thurs or Fri, Can't wait to see what's it's going to look like! Hopefully the weather will stay kind, Hope you're OK and everything is fine, Have a great week will send you some pics next weekend cheers 🍻

I had mk2 in red as a kid in 1980-3. Went everywhere on it. It was very heavy compared to the grifter and BMX bikes. But I just got used to it and just preferred the chopper. Happy days.

Another great video Paul, all the bikes look good out together. I think a 1970's metal flake paint job would look fantastic on a Chopper, inspired by custom cars from that time. The pedals you got look good as new, really nice. Hope you have a good weekend.

If you can build the ratty Chopper out of parts you don't use it'll still be worth a few quid when finished if you decide to sell. 🙂

Hi Phil mate yes I'm going to have a go at drilling them snapped off sissy bars out today and have worked out all I haven't got for the rat 🐀 build is a front mudguard seat and gear changer, I can't believe I'm doing this lol 😂 but will be interesting, obviously have cleaned it up a bit and am going to clear coat frame so will see what happens, hopefully will be done this weekend, cheers 🥂 and have a great weekend.

I really enjoyed riding around on my Prismatic in Suffolk last Sunday, i doubt if I'd own a Chopper if it wasn't for you two. 🥰

@@gingerphil yes Phil I think 🤔 I should be able to get hold of some rough bits I will message the dealer and see what he's got allthough I don't think he likes selling to me lol 😂, That ride out looked a great day had by all, I think I would have joined you lot but not on a chopper as there too uncomfortable for long distances especially for me 6'5" about 19 stone and extremely large scrotum sack lol 😂 that's what you get from being 60 next birthday 🎂 lol 😂, if I'd had a working Grifter I'd probably brought that maybe next time??!!
