I especially liked the calm narration of the game's progression. Many similar video presentations of games are annoying because they explain too quickly, so you don't have time to internalize the narration of the rules of the game.

I’ve played a few times now and I noticed you didn’t use the option to move directly to an Animal Acquisition space without flipping a tile. That seems to help mitigate being “pushed” past spaces too quickly

The rulebook is pretty bad. Which is strange because the Feast of Odin rulebook is perfect.

How turns are you taking,please ? Thought that you have one go with the cards you start of with.

One round is using the four cards. You don’t have to use all of them. Once you are done with a round, you draw back up to four. As long as you complete a card each round, you don’t get a strike.

@aftertherilebook5464, Sorry,I didn't make myself clear. What I meant was: it looks like you continued after using all but one card. I thought the idea is to try and clear all the cards. Maybe you started a new game but used the rules from the previous game. Anyway,I enjoy Shifting Stones and now avoid using strikes.🙂 All the Best.

Question. Is a strike only when you don’t score a card that you can score? This seems too easy?

A strike is if you can’t score a card or don’t want to on a turn. I have had games where I can’t score a card on a turn and have to take a strike. These two games happened to be good ones where I didn’t need to take a strike.

I just picked up a new copy of the game, and your copy of the player board for solo doesn't look anything like mine, I would pick the harder side to start with. Have you player and won with that harder variation? Also, do you use the move set to go to the next animal acquisition space in game play versus using the movement tokens?

I picked the smaller board for the video. I wonder if your board looks like the other side of mine. I have played the other side that has a bigger board. I’ve won and lost that side in the past. I starting keeping a tracker for how many negative points and tried to get a better score each time. I prefer holding on to the markers like I did in the video but the rules say you can put them on the board as you move the elephant. I didn’t know about the rule about going to the next animal space for solo mode, so thank you for telling me that.
