Great as always! But the thing that jumped out for me: has Aaron joined Matt (and many of the rest of us) in the glasses wearing crowd?

They played recently in Rome and I feel so stupid for taking time to listen to them just now. Hope they come back to play here soon. This is incredible..the emotions, the melancholy, the tie in my throath that im feeling while listening to this beautiful music.

Man, he's like a hundred years old. (as well as aping Morrissey). I only listen to this song because the guitar riff at 2:33 is like the one from 'Under the Milky Way' by The Church (which this song is copied from). Sad rip-offs.....

I love this song so much! FTPOF was the first album they released since I've started listening to them and it was so special to hear this album and this song for the first time after going through all their catalogue. The bridge and the drums kicking in are classic The National moments.

I see someone had a completely different interpretation and I guess that’s how it is with lyrics. Personally, in the context of helping someone heal from a breakdown (especially preceded by the lines about being their nurse or something) I thought he was talking about making sure the other person didn’t metaphorically drift away and drown in their suffering. I don’t know if i care if I’m wrong cause I get so much comfort from that line. 😊

Going to be amazing to hear you guys for the 8th time in Denmark (first time 2009 in Tivoli, 18 years old). Now you coming to Royale Arena yet again. You guys have been with me through hard times, good time and all between. Will be amazing to hear the new songs live, hoping for Space Invader, Smoke Detector & Eucalyptus. Also, would be awesome to hear some of the old ones like Anna Freud or Available (this one I would shout with you Matt). Keep up your amazing work, I’ll be at every concert when you visit Denmark!

Ugh, he must be exhausted or not well. He’s definitely not himself.

This is just how he performs live - it's very raw. Believe me, he sounds 100x better in person! Live recordings can never do him or the band justice.
@svetinebo17 сағат бұрын
Something is with sound design cause micro is too quiet in case of all instruments. Its first that I heard immediately. Plus his voice amount the years of performing. Plus songs that he performed earlier - maybe it was too high and energetic like Abel where he was totally screaming, it hurts and its not right in vocal sphere, i tell you like a vocalist and musician) many factors at the end of it all.

@@MyOtherChannel-zy3tf I thought when it dropped and I still believe, personally, that Frankenstein is their weakest and least passionate album. So I was bummed. But then they surprise release Laugh Track, a classic Ntl release and their best album since Sleep Well Beast. Not a single weak song. Hornets, Coat on a Hook, Tour Manager, Deep End… I could list them all. But the title track just might make it into my top 5 NTL songs ever. I can’t seem to get enough of it
