Rebecca has a soprano voice plus she plays violin. Sometimes I do the high vocal but mostly the really high one is Becky and I do the alto or lower soprano.

I'm not sure its a technical triumphe but its unique!!!! And.... despite not being usual, every producer I work with says I do things with the pedal that they haven't seen before - so I guess it works somehow. I was classically trained, but I don't ever remember learning the pedal, it was more of a natural response.

Thanks Kevin, I recently went to Ireland and visited the emmigration museum in Dublin. I'm a Heaney and they are all from Ballymoney (above Dublin) - it was wonderful to discover more about them. My other side are McEwans and they are from Scotland. If there is any Irish (or Celtic) in the bloodlines, it never leaves you and it has a profound effect.

@@fionajoymusic Dang, wouldn't it be funny if we were related in some form of a distant line. I am descendent of McPhail (male) and Sullivan (female), with a long line of history from there, along with a bit of English. They settled here in North Carolina. My Dad's mother is from France from the line of Nezat), also with a long line of history, and his father...not real sure, but mostly English and some Dutch. They settled in Louisiana, yes, very Cajun. With this, yes, ever since I was a kid, my Scotch Irish roots have always bubbled to the surface, to where I can almost see and hear in my head, that beautiful and colorful land and its music. This song always tugs on my heart, misting my eyes like the moisture forms over that Celtic landscape, to spill over into the dampness of my soul. Ugh, seriously, I have listened to this song hundreds or even thousands of times, and every time, my gut feels the people and the heritage, almost like I starve to visit the history. Thank you for your music and especially this one. ❤❤❤

Thanks Catherine. Also, the violin is a one-off Italian instrument dated from the 1700s, and the other is a hand-made contemporary 97 key piano. An interesting mix of rare instruments.

@ WOW. It doesn’t get better than that; the merging of two master instrument creators. I know the effort Wayne goes to in his creation of a master instrument. 🙏
