It's crazy how MK has evolved. I remember skipping school to go to the arcade to play the original, and it was so badass and controversial. Back in the day, there were two kinds gamers: the Street Fighter 2 crowd, and the Mortal Kombat crowd. I was definitely the latter. I remember how excited I was when SNES version was released, and then MK2 came out, and then a few years later PS1 was released and its version of MK3 was just as good as the arcade, so I stopped pumping quarters into the game, and just went to my friends house after school and played it on his PlayStation.
