I think Mkx had the best fatalities in the series. Something about Mk11 and 1 just feel too cartoony. MKX had some pretty disturbing ones.

Only the Kameo fatalities are cartoonish! MK1 has pretty disturbing ones. Sub-Zero throwing the ice boomerang. Tanya jamming the staff down your throat. Reiko impaling you on a pike. Pretty graphic. I think it's just the brighter colors. MKX graphics are dark and washed out giving it a creepier tone.
