I knew absolutely nothing about Niki Lauda or James Hunt when I saw this film. After watching it, I had zero interest in learning anything about Lauda, thanks to Bruhl's dull performance (but ooohhh, he got the "mannerisms" right 🙄). However, I immediately jumped online and started learning as much as I could about Hunt, thanks entirely to Hemsworth. I was looking up videos on KZbin & other sites as well. The *intensity* in his eyes in certain scenes - like that stunning transition from the mile high club to the race - absolutely stunning acting and film-making! I couldn't give a rats if his "mannerisms" weren't exactly right, like Bruhl's dull portrayal. Learn to appreciate art! Morons.
