You don’t want to listen to this whilst on acid……… unless you have a very very very strong disposition….a fast and bulbous one to be sure!

Someone on another video pointed out that this song is reminiscent of “Ed Edd and Eddy”. I agree.

first time listening, but it immediately sounds like they hanged out with Swans at the time. To think, how many years I thought Sonic Youth were colleagues of Stone Temple Pilots and the touring -fest staples like Pearl Jam. Smh... I hope they reissue Confusion/Kill Your Idols on LP!

I liked Sonic Youth more when they sounded like they were ripping off Teenage Jesus and the Jerks.
@KnifeWoundGirl Жыл бұрын
You can say that every no wave band of the era ripped off teenage Jesus and the jerks Lydia lunch is like the catalyst for everything no wave except for the band mars they were the OG
@skaldlouiscyphre2453 Жыл бұрын
@@KnifeWoundGirl Definitely. I just meant I like their material before they found 'a sound of their own', so to speak.
@KnifeWoundGirl Жыл бұрын
@@skaldlouiscyphre2453 you can find hints of their no wave past in some of their later stuff but unfortunately it will never fulfill the primal energy they had during the no wave era

Although the magic isn't there yet this is a decent effort by the group from their early days. Good that it's here.

I was told yesterday (4th May 2020) that "a tin teardrop" refers to an old car in the shape of a teardrop. Does it refer to a particular model, or just cars in general?

Allan, tantalising that you hoped to do more. This works so well. I guess another cartoon source would work, although the "voice match" might be more difficult. Krusty the Clown?
