for anyone trying t do this in 2024, I looked at the diagram between 19 monkey and 22 monkey rearsets, the 22 is a lot thicker and the spacers on the back of it is longer, so you shouldnt need the washers, I'm ordering a 22 set as I type this and will find out in a week or so, hopefully I will remember to come back here and put an update

Great video! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼 Previously with my SF Grom I used the SMR 60% springs. Do you think I should bump it up to 80% springs on my next Grom build (2025 model)?
@GromBeardo
@GromBeardo Күн бұрын
Hell Yeah!🤘 I like 60%, but never really tried 80%. After a long day of riding, even with the RSC clutch lever, my finger is pretty worn out and end up using my middle finger to help pull the clutch🤪 I'd think with 80% it'd be way worse. If you're not out riding in a lot of stop/go traffic for hours at a time, I'd imagine you'd be fine though.

@@GromBeardo thanks for clearing that up, I know exactly what you’re saying, I currently have the RSC one finger on my MT07. It’s was a beeotch at first but now my finger has abs haha I think you’re right though I’ll stick with the 60% 👍

But to be 100% honest…if they were both sitting in my garage and you asked me which one I’m taking today I’d take the damn Grom 😝 they are too much damn fun. Nothing beats it. Going places you ain’t supposed to. Easy to work on. Amazing on gas! And I miss the Grom community! Brap’n around town with other Groms is the best! Haha. This video shows how smart, or rather how you are not smart. The ruckus is an outstanding piece of machinery. It does way better than you show here. It has a top speed of around 43 MPH and if you do not understand that then bang on yourself and not Honda. It just shows you do not know. But if people don't read the comments they will think you are an expert and not realize how little you know. I want to tell people to buy the Ruckus. I have owned one for 14 years along with other bikes. Forget what this guy is saying. Even listen to his laughing child like comments.

Hey possibly bad question here, I've never opened up a motoryccle engine before, and I just got my order of a pump in for my 2023 grom from you. Do I need to drain my gas tank before removing the cover of the engine? I know I need to drain the oil just not totally sure what other "prep" work needs to be done before I lean the grom over and take the engine cover off. Thanks!

Grom is always the answer😁 The YCF is fun as fuck, but it's not practical as a hop on and ride to wherever you want. Low MPG, frequent oil changes, uncomfortable seat, etc... It's more like a sweet treat to have every once and a while, but not every day.

@@GromBeardo update; found it and took the 15 minutes to install it now I have to wait for a gasket for the crank cover. Losing it wouldn’t have been that bad because then I would have got the high flow pump since it’s sucking through that small tube but either way simple install and I’ll probably end up getting the high flow pump eventually. And I have a question do you know any companies that make a 2022+ rod? Because I have not found one in mine are OK and I have a couple other ways I can support them. Just curious if they make anything considering the one for 2021 is like 14 bucks right now lol no big deal just figd you’d prob know and I can’t find one. Idk if it’s worth it but crank gaskets would be good and I needed one so figd I’ll check your site. And I’m not saying it in a bad way but figd if it helps you make more $ then why not. But your pumps are great and if I need a hi flo Idk anyone who comes to mind. 😂. I don’t know if you’re considered a small business still but also prefer to support you for that because your quality control is great with everything and I’ve never heard bad thing, So anybody needs oil pumps or pick up pumps for wheelies I think it’s a no-brainer and who everybody recommends @GromBeardo who I can’t tag on here
@GromBeardo
@GromBeardo 29 күн бұрын
@@GeorgieCt What rod are you talking about? Like for the bodywork after installing an intake? I'm definitely a small business. It's just me, so don't get smaller than that🤣 Yeah, the side cover gaskets kinda mess with my shipping. I'd have to wrap them around the pump box to fit in the flat rate padded envelopes. Which is sketchy. Would want to ship something like that flat. Just more hassle than it's worth. If the old one is reusable, but if it tears the local Honda dealerships usually have them in stock.

Having been a road captain and led rides, the one thing people must remember is this: Ride to your own skill level. The only one with their hand on your throttle is you. You are responsible for your riding. I have ridden the twisties from SoCal in the 80s and the West and all through the East until today. Lots of miles under my belt, with and without a passenger. Ride to YOUR skill level, not the level of those you are with.

I just found this video. The 18 year old and another rider had just passed me when I heard the crash up in front of me around the curve. When I came upon it there were little pieces of motorcycle lying in the road smoking. I saw one rider walking around in a daze and then I saw a black lump in the road. I rode up next to it and saw the kid was deceased. I knew I had a friend coming up behind me so I took off to get help. I stopped at every photo tent and asked if they could make a call for help. I finally found one that had a satellite connection and he called for help.
