He was teaching in chennai College of Carnatic music. Then he was working in Wesleyan University, America. His second daughter Gita went with him and married his student, an American. She died of cancer. We all pray for his family members. God bless them. Rukku, Soundara and Kalyani.

Dr. Ramanathan was a genius. He taught veena to Ms also. In our family all of us learnt vocal and veena from him. His father in law was a teacher in Hinduhigh school. He never used to shout at anyone. He was too humble and polite. Nobody can replace him. Hope someone from his family carry his good name and reputation. Rukku, Soundara, Kalyani.
