Schoolini ! May I respond by saying that I empathise with your desire that Kannadigas have nor produced a documentary on SrinVasudevachar, the great Kannadiga devotee-composer of numerous compositions which are, like most of Carnatic (or Karnataka-originated) music. There is good reason, that the doc can still be dubbed in Kannada and other the Malayalam and Telugu, as exclusive original productions could require lot of funds, but there is really no need except fir dubbing at nominal cost. However, historically, since much of the South was politically united until before Independence as 'Madras Presidency' and much of Carnatic music found great patronage (among all linguistic communities eho lived in Madras (now Chenna-i) and even cities like Thanjavur (Nayaks and Marathas ruled there).Purandaradasa and other Daasara compositions. Thry are sung or patronised by the relatively small number of lovers of Carnatic music which has the distinction of the Sangita Pitamahas Purandaradasa and other famous Hari-Daasas who ooured out their hearts with their profound ipdevotional fervour and hsve thus ensured an iundyung emotional bonding between all linguistic groups of S.India comprising musicians, listeners, scholars, researchers. The ties must not be allowed to be affected by any psrochialistic considerations based on linguistic politics. Note here that even states originally made on the basis of particular languages are being bisected or trisected due to political greed that can never help healthy ptomotion of the treasures in our regional languages but only linguistic planks as political tools. We must thank the Govt of India particularly the Broadcasting depts. and Doordarshan who are contributing much more than other agencies

There is no boundary for music. Karnataka, Tamilnadu, only the medium of language differs.. Its Universal. Please don't border the musicians or music as Karnataka artiste, Kerala artiste, Tamilnadu artiste.

Why Karnataka has to blame he has not done any kirtan in Kannada, before him many Great composers like Sri Purandardas, Vijayadasaru, Kanakadasaru and so but his work only non kannada only.
