It's so cute and playful, with a touch of darkness left in. Really like this one but I probably say that every time. 🐭

The date at the Gold Saucer is one of the best and most memorable moments from FFVII. I remind doing it with Tifa (man, I loved the way Cloud and Aerith fit together, but my shipping in the game always was Cloud x Tifa, sorry people!), and that moment when the fireworks started was simply magical. Thanks for making me to relive that moment. And also, great speech about loneliness, something that surely had an important weight in Cloud's personality, even after freeing himself at disc 2.
@RebeccaETrippКүн бұрын
You're very welcome. Yeah, I tried to get Tifa the first time because I could tell that Cloud was supposed to end up with her, but I also feel like Aerith really deserves to have that one moment of happiness with Cloud.

Love this! That first trip to the dark world still sticks in my mind as one of the most incredible moments in the franchise. As a kid, I absolutely loved that feeling of entering an entire new world to explore where everything is strange and somewhat surreal. Your arrangement describes the feeling far better than I can put into words. The Song of Healing reference also fits perfectly. Also, am I right to detect some Hitoshi Sakimoto inspiration here?
@RebeccaETrippКүн бұрын
Oh, nice to see you here! Thanks a lot! Yeah, I'm sure Sakimoto had some unconscious inspiration on this (and many other pieces of mine).

Nothing like the sound of the harp to soothe the mind and soul. King Saoul was aware of that, and so he hired David before he was his successor.

I recall that moment of entering the Dark World being oppressive, having much of my freedom and certainty taken away that I had playing as the hero. Obviously I wanted to go back to being a hero as quickly as possible. But your light-hearted, uplifting remix did the reverse! You remind that changing into an animal would be quite thrilling and liberating! The original moment only feels oppressive because it's in the context of the Dark World.

It's nice to get a new version of this song. I really liked that you slipped the Song of Healing into it. It's not shocking that this track tends to fall through the cracks considering that the various Overworld themes in both the Dark and Light Worlds are some of the greatest songs in the entire series but it is a shame.

I've been using this song as background music to listen to while I write the more surreal elements of my book for years now. It's really helped me get into more of a "dreamlike" mental state. And my beta readers are thankful for it, as while it can be confusing to read at times, it does allow things to freely flow from image to image in they are swimming with the jellyfish.
