I just saw your videos today, they are terrific! A friend wants me to make 12 Pickleballs. They look similar to the one in this video except I do not need spikes. Did you make your own ends to hold the sphere and did you make the chuck the sphere sits in to drill it? Thank you.

I have long wondered if nested balls was possible on a lathe. You proved it IS possible and for me it is still impossible. I haven't learned how to make a sphere on a lathe! Great video!

Wonderful to see! My Great-Grandmother's brother was disabled by Kaiser Bill's poison gas in World War I. He was taught furniture making as vocational rehabilitation. When I was a child I was fascinated by the balls in cages that adorned some of his work. I have no idea what tools or machines he used.
