Cool video, I love biking outdoors but it's nice to be able to bike indoors and keep up your cardio during the winter here in Canada as biking in the winter here is fun but you can't go out for as long during the really cold months typically Jan/Feb.

what does cycling do though? anything? seems like a waste of energy. isn't weight lifting more effective?
@tomd47488 күн бұрын
It’s not, firstly because not everybody has access to weights, or a wight room in their house. Second, you can just jump on a bike for 45 minutes and burn 200 calories, or whatever. Not so with weights, which require actual knowledge of routine setups (weight, reps, sets, rest between sets, exercise order/selection, etc.), and you’ll not burn the same calories by any means, unless you’re doing a strength based routine using high weight/low reps for numerous sets…which most simply never do. Now, if you’re a weight lifter for years and know your shit, you might not need cardio at all, but that’s not the case for most people, who have no idea how to track macros, so would benefit greatly from an exercise bike.

Is a speed sensor necessary? I have read that Bluetooth only supports one sensor at a time so I’d need a second display device (iPad plus iphone) I assume if I needed to use both.

How easy is it to capture times? I don't suppose it goes into a data base and stores them.
@cpcnw3 ай бұрын
Choosing 'workout' does not allow you to enter your miles at the end of the session. You might as well just create a manual entry [as that allows full edit of all fields] after making a note of your session stats. Strava is very limited in tat respect.

I have my cadence sensor fitted to my shoes with the mount which allows laces or in my case Boa wires to secure. This allows you to jump any any bike or trainer without having to move sensor every time.🚴♂️🚴♂️

Ive found that i cant get that much resistance out of my magnetic exersice bike. Although it feels like im pushing 200 watts my heart rate is only at 130bpm. I turned the resistance to the max which was about 300 watts (estimated) but the break pad which is made out of a compressed cotton material was slightly touching which isnt ideal. When i got off it was really hot and discoloured 😂😂. I will have to focus on my endurance rides for indoor cycling rather than power which is fine because i do have a bike
