I think the whole point is there's no one way to do something right. There are always many variables and what works for one, may not work for another. Everybody's circumstances and situations are different. I see this ALL the time in the reptile and invertebrate hobbies. Everybody's an expert, only there way is the right way and everybody loves to call each other out. Instead of being nice, helpful and supportive people are just A-holes. And opinions are like a-holes,everybody's got one. Social media is destroying society, cultures and the human race.

Hi, very good points made in your video. I have 4 planted tanks and I water change them maybe after every 2-3 top offs which varies between tanks. Like you I don't see a right or a wrong way it is whatever works and when I'm doing my videos if just one person takes something from them then I am happy. Subscribed :)
@majorbruster59163 күн бұрын
Nice tanks, Scotty. Fish and plants doing well. That isolated plant in the front corner looks like a ruffled sword plant. Give it more time and it will flourish. They appreciate lots of fertiliser at the roots and some soluble potassium such as potassium chloride in the water.

@@razinfishes1918 i have not seen a single person do logs for successful breeding :) I think it would be easier to pull fish and make the water salty. They are too expensive for me right now to justify as a failed project for years. Thanks for answering :)

If one just have a basic biology knowledge one does not get brainwashed that easily. So many advices out there based on own experience is just not applicable for everyone. I am more keen to understand why it works for you than copying it myself. That is how aplied knowledge forms. BTW, 0 nitrate is not good for any tank. Plants miss the most important nutrient and stop cleaning the water. A lot of potential leathal waste products build up. TDS increase. A water change just solve the acute problem, not the reason for it. Increasing no3 would solve the reason. Lowering light duration or thinning out plants may help, but I always prefere to add macro fertilizer. Some good reflections in this video.😀👍
