Appreciate how you try to explain how you use the quarter scale so the last board is the same. Nobody else does that, they just cut boards with no explanation on how they set their blade height. I ordered the same scale you have from Woodmizer using the part number shown in one of your videos. Should be here today. I hope all the scales start at zero like yours. The quarter scale I have on my LT35 does not start at zero. They’re all random. WoodMizer told me they cut those scales to length from a long spool, so I guess only the very first scale is correct. Go figure.
@TheOldManAndTheSaw10 күн бұрын
Thank you. When you put in your new scale make sure that the last quarterscale mark lines up with the appropriate inch mark. ie the first 4/4 mark on the Standard scale should line up with 1 1/8" ; on the Hardwood scale the 4/4 mark should line up with 1 1/4". Good luck.

Well done Dave. I had a sawmill that was advertised to saw a 28" log, when I put a 28 incher on it I had to put the first slab back on and saw 3 more 1" boards from it. A 16 foot oak slab 4 or 5" thick is really heavy. Brent
@TheOldManAndTheSaw23 күн бұрын
Thanks Brent. My first mill was a TimberKing 1220 that is rated for a 33" log; and you CAN put a 33" log on the bunks. The only problem is that the max blade height is 23". But, technically, you can saw a 33" log. I just found out that the LT40 is rated for a 41" log but max blade height is around 36".
