🤔 im a ahole in RL , not going to silence my freedom of speech to protect someone’s feelings. Although certainly NO sense in being a bully, but if I hear something that’s not correct I have no problem spending time calling them out. There’s an abundance of misinformation on KZbin! Steve, I’d “troll” you if I could, but I can’t! Only trolls can be trolled!

Once I bond my neutral and ground at the main panel why does code make me separate them from neutral bar and ground bar?

Don't hold back perspective observation of etiquette and ethics. For some, they need a little bit of pushback in reality, especially when speaking outwardly intrusive thoughts of ($ PAYING $) customer dwellings, fixtures, colors, styles, etc. ESPECIALLY as a Professional Skilled Trades Representative for YOUR Employer and Your Craft. Pay attention to the house making sure your shoes or your boots are not dirty(use wraps) Make sure to pay attention walking around the household so you don't bump something or knock something off the shelf or wall. Don't let the Household Pets out when using doors, leave the residence as Good or Better when your project is finished. OBTW.... make sure to at least use proper deodorant and possibly breath bits or gum doesn't hurt either. Customers are for all intents and purposes your Kings and Queens. 🫠 😊 🤙

So let’s say you ran a 3 wire to let’s say a Hot water heater, you hooked up the Black and Red Wires but you only hooked up the neutral to the panel on the Bus bar could that be dangerous?
@Stevenj120voltsКүн бұрын
@@yessir640 most water heater need 3 wires hot hot ground no neutral. So red black bare. Running in a two pole breaker nothing hooked to a neutral bar
@yessir640Күн бұрын
@ I know but if you run 10/3 and hook up the neutral only to the Neutral Bar but left it just free in a hot water heater Junction, Could there be a potential hazard for some sort of Stray Voltage?

Great demonstration, I actually guessed mixed neutral in switch box before watching second video. I’ve been doing residential for a long time and multi gang switch boxes are where multiple circuits are in the same box. I’ve also had to correct swapped neutrals in j boxes where all 20 were wrong. Basically this is a back feed hazard via the neutral. You can also have back feed on a hot when two circuits have been tied together mistakenly although this usually reveals itself. Both are shock hazard for the next person’s doing any work. Im an American electrician but incidentally in the UK they use ring circuits which actually return to source intentionally.

If it’s that old stuff house will burn down without it. And if used correctly it won’t hurt new stuff. It’s rough watching wire melt from box to weather head.

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks or is ordered to think, it all depends on your service from the right of way zone. Some people measure 118v, some people measure 120v some people even measure 110v. record the proper measurements, SFTU and move on, stop upselling and stealing money from the customer how about starting with that asshat. This is not directed at the page owner but rather all contractor's

I don't care what the fireman's NEC code says.... White is not, and never has been NEUTRAL. It is RETURN. ALL circuits are circles. What goes around, comes around. If current goes in, it must come out somewhere. White is simply the return circuit for the black hot line. We should stop calling it anything other than RETURN. Calling it neutral gives a false sense of security. (and yes, NEC is a fire code.... look it up. It is written by the NFPA, National Fire Protection Association)
