Anything below an 80 in your first year can negatively affect your GPA, making it an uphill battle throughout university

@@themedboys how does OMAS work. If i am getting 85+ 4.0 on GPA scale at UTM does that give me a 4.0 in OMAS or do I need 90+? IDK if 90+ is at all achievable for me.

I graduated from high school in Norway and here we can directly apply to medical Education after high school. The qualification in Norway is that you need to choose science( subject like math, chemistry, biology and physics) as your elective subjects and you also have تو have high GPA from high school. The top GPA is 6 and lowest is 1 or 2. So to come into medical studies u have to get 7 out of 6, you may say how that would be possible? Well, you can collect points by going to a military for a year, one year in vocational school to special in biochemistry or sth like that. But is it true that for apply to medical school in Canada you need to have a bachelor degree in biochemistry or etc? Cuz in Europe you dont need any bachelor degree.. some place require biochemistry test, others don't and your high school GPA is enough.. Can you tell me how is it in Canada?

Thanks again for a wonderful video MedBoys! Your updated guide is very informative, and the tips are very useful. I’m currently in Grade 12 so I might still have a couple years until I start applying but I think it's always a great idea to stay informed. I was wondering if you have any general advice for someone at my stage. I’d love to know what I can do now to best prepare for the journey ahead. Thanks again for creating these videos, they are always helpful and motivating!

Our biggest piece of advice is to explore different career options to ensure medicine is right for you. We’d recommend speaking to people in different fields directly for these insights. If you are set on medicine, you should establish good study strategies to excel in school (GPA is very important) and explore/develop your passions. For example, if you have a passion for advocacy, try to get involved in that sphere in some way. It’s reflective of how physicians have many different commitments, and ultimately, it will help you learn more about yourself. Hope this helps!

what I ogt in 1 and 36 seconds: I would conforme my freind after the test. SO that I dont interup the other student and my self while an exam is being taken place. I would tlak to him in private and tell him that I saw him cheating on the exam. I would tell him why he did it and to go tell the teacher by himself. Their could be many reasons why he cheated but if he cheated because of personal issue I would do my best to provide him with the correct help (osychites and consler). WIth that said I would recommende for him to speak with the professor and tell him his situation. No matter the cause or if hes my friend cheating is never allowed espcially if you are a medical pressional, because you cheating could lead to a person death.
