Hello, I have this question: Is there a way to isolate (and record) Only the Reverb Effect? In general I'm talking about isolating (an record) Only the particular effect produced by a device. That would be Without the original audio signal. Thanks

You can create your own keyboard shortcuts in bitwig, i just set mine the Ctrl+shift+R :D

just in case youre wondering, a darbuca is a small african drum that has a very thin head so it sounds punchy and high-pitched. thats because its traditionally using fish skin instead of goat hide or something similar. thanks for the walktrough <3

Eq+ is broken and should not be used especially when it comes to transients. I can even hear flange in the video… 🤦♂️
@BishopsWest Жыл бұрын
Good point. I wanted to stick with stock plugins, but a linear phase EQ would be a better choice when working with transients.

This only thing I miss from Ableton is Drum Buss and some of the repeaters and randomizers. Any equivalents to those for Bitwig?
@BishopsWest Жыл бұрын
I haven't used Ableton's drum buss, so I'm not the best person to ask. But you could probably replicate it using an FX chain.
@jona8659 Жыл бұрын
id recommend having a look in the ableton manual to see what drum buss does. its just two saturators, a compressor, a transient shapper and a resonator

Great idea. I was thinking about doing something similar to this - thanks for providing some insight and inspiration. Edit: It would probably be cool to use macros to edit both attack/sustain layers simultaneously.

The UI for the Multiband splitter plugin is very clean and easy. I use Reaper and wish that some of the built-in FX would get with the program on modern UI advancements.

That's pretty cool, but I've noticed that the audio of an instrument continues even though it is not selected in the instrument selector. I wonder if it's possible to only playback its audio if its selector part is selected.
@BishopsWest3 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about if the instrument has reverb/delay or a long release? I guess you'd have to decrease the release time. Or are you using the instrument layer device?
@Xstatic19753 жыл бұрын
Isn't that what the FX layer is for?

Would be nice if the random modulator had a 'random no repeat' setting - I work in game audio and that's a commonly used setting.
@BishopsWest3 жыл бұрын
I agree - that would be helpful. Not that it applies here, but the FX Selector and Instrument Selector devices have a "Random Other" mode that I think does what you're describing.

For more precise 'quantized steps': The 'steps' modulator can be set to have a rate of zero. Then you modulate (or turn the knob) the 'phase' of the sequencer so that it steps through the values you have set for each step of the modulator.
@BishopsWest3 жыл бұрын
Thanks @konskift! Using the Step modulator was my first thought, but I didn't realize you could set the rate to zero, so I couldn't get it to work. For anyone else that wants to try this, set the rate to "Hold (rate of zero)."

Acid Latin - got it as a free add-on way back when Acid Pro was still made by Sonic Foundry. 😊 I found this, which I think is the same collection: www.producerplanet.com/us/search/?query=acid%20latin&area=audio&category=250
