The only whelk I have seen that big my Great Grandfather found on MATAGORDA Beach,TX in the 40s!!!!The whole thing is still a peach pink with a yellow inside!!!

When I was probably 10 I put a message in a bottle while sailing in the San Juan islands. It took a couple years, but eventually I got a letter in the mail from the recipient. I should put a couple more out there.

Lovely video. However it seems when she would hold something up for a close up the camera would switch off of her which was unfortunate for viewing the shell for only a second or so.
