Italian guns are like Italian cars. They are flashy but way too fragile. The exception is the Zoli Z gun. Even Zoli has gone to a fluted barrel to improve handling. The Japanese are making a sturdier gun than the Italians. There is a reason Krieghoff crowds other manufacturers off the podium. Still, I say, to each their own. Not many people need to rely on a gun that runs through 20k+ rounds per year.

Irgendwann werde ich mir einen Krieghoff Bockdrilling leisten, seit Jahren mein Traum. Kaliberwahl wäre 8x57IRS, 5,6x50r Mag und 20/76 . Bis dahin schaue ich mir weiterhin Videos an und träume noch ein bisschen davon.

What caliber was the guide's Weatherby? With the barrel contour and the width of the forearm, I would say 460 Weatherby Magnum. It has European (CLAW) scope mounts so I suspect it's a Europa, Chambered for a large European caliber. Cool gun. I'd love to have one in a left hand action.

The only problem with Krieghoff is its price. Its very very expensive. It was made for the millionaires not regular hunter like me😢😢😢. What a great video,hunt and beauty

I had one in the 60's and 70's... 2 barrel set... Wish I had kept it... But needed the money for the family.

Did this same hunt back in may 2008 , Bloody Bongo ,With Gee Le Bohec . i recognised some of the same trackers . i also did the L.D Eland Hunt ( took a 52 1/2 " er ) with Gee later in March 2012 up North . So sorry to hear that Gee passed away a while back after a long fight with cancer , a Realy cool guy ! I will always remember Gee and the two Hunts had with him !
