I had a problem when simulating ultrasound; I had this library for a long time, it only required the input to the potentiometer to be a DC signal, not a power signal. xD

Adding an esp32 for WiFi and Bluetooth is lunacy. Just by itself is is more capable than an Arduino. It's like adding a mercedes to your Lada coz you want to use the blinkers

Couldn't agree more. But I think the idea behind adding the ESP32 to the UNO R4 is to give users the best of both worlds. By integrating the ESP32, you get the feeling of using the same old familiar UNO without having to jump to a completely new board. Also, they want users to use their IoT cloud with the Arduino boards.

@@THEELECTRONICGUY there indeed might be lots of reasons, but i think when sticking to the arduino IDE, the transfer from Arduino to an esp32 would not be so great. Regardless, it offers an extra choice for those who find the step too big or to alienating. Up to each own what to choose 😊

Arduino consumes too much ROM. If you need something more than blinker from attiny, it's better to remove Arduino and use something low-level.

Yep. You can use ESPHome to interface with it and get images or download some firmware that will make an mjpeg stream or rtsp jpeg stream.. esp32cam-rtsp for example. Not a high frame rate especially at full sensor resolution but works fairly well. The connected antenna also gets great range. The Milk V Duo boards are pretty cool too if you want a higher frame rate and h264 video.

Well, it is a good way to show that something is on, but can you connect external storage? Like use it as a replacement part for the usb connector?
@OvyWanKenobi
@OvyWanKenobi 15 күн бұрын
Not really... If you want USB communication, you are left with 4 pins, at most, on a cip that has less than 6 kB of flash for code and a limited RAM. You can do simple things with it, though, like an USB mouse wiggler, a hotkey keyboard...

No resistor at LED? I know, esp have only 3.3V, but also the pin have a max. current! some LED maybe use more as the pin can have and destroy that pin. This can be solved with a resistor.

I solder a 3.7v 850mah lipo to the board and planned to use the 5v pin for npn motor control, but the motor didn't start up. I haven't tested with a volt meter but i assume there is voltage there. When connected to usb power supply, the motor starts up to verify the circuit is correct. I tried two lipo 3.7v 850mah in parallel to increase Ampacity. Still, the motor did not start up. Will i burn the board up if i connect two lipo 3.7v batteries in series to double the voltage?
