The points you raise are excellent! I just bought two yellow lemon shaped soaps bcuz they are so much like the ones my mom used. Really? 😊I use foam soaps for everything. Not lemon scented either..... 🍋🍋 (Thanks!!! I have way too much stuff that is "meaningful")

Hello! I have used the old model since 2010, and still does (2024). I am 47 years and still have regular periods, so I need it. It has worked perfectly well and I like that you do not need batteries, a charger is better, if you ask me 🙂

I sleep on the floor regularly... I use a 3" latex foam topper and a sleeping bag, right on the floor. My big motivator for this is the "use it or lose it" concept... I love camping, which requires sleeping on the ground, right? I also have back problems- degenerative disk disease, and other wonderful spinal maladies. I found that when I slept on a regular bed, my back pain was worse, and I couldn't sleep on the ground (ie, camping). Now I do Dr. Stuart McGill's "big three" exercises for spinal stability, and I sleep on the floor. I love it! My back feels better than it did 10 years ago, and I'm 50. I will probably never sleep on a traditional bed again.

It seems to me that a futon stuffed with natural wool would be more resilient than a futon made with cotton, which flattens more quickly over time.

I've had my Toto C5 for a year now. Am I in love with it - not really. It's such a process and I still use TP or a small washcloth to pat myself dry. No way that blower will dry you completely unless you have plenty of time to sit there. I watched many videos before purchasing, what most don't mention is the smaller opening than a standard seat or the slant of the seat. I'm glad that I was able to find a brick & mortar store to see one and talk to a person about it. Is it better than a regular toilet seat, I suppose, it's nice in the winter.

At the start of the video I couldn't understand how you made the toilet paper math work, then I heard "$300" and nearly spat my coffee out! Sadly, in Australia, anything with the name Toto on it starts from four figures. And then you're looking at the same again to have a plumber legally install it with the proper backflow valve to eliminate the risk of 💩 getting into the drinking water supply.

Toto has no customer support that I could find. Mine stopped working after about 18-20 years (the soft close lid went south much earlier than that). I can tell the signal is still getting through because some of the less important functions still work (like the wand cleaning). None of the "business functions do. I can find no seller in the SF bay area willing to even look at what might be going on. I won't buy another Toto. A simple device like this should last longer and be easily fixable when some component fails. When I get around to replacing this, I will probably try a "Cascade". They at least have people to talk to and offer the same length of warranty (4 years) though from my Toto experience that is not nearly long enough.

A simple device like this (water heater, air heater, pump, some sort of linear motor for the wand) should last far longer than 18 years. As I mentioned, the electronic controls seem to be okay -- some signals like the wand wash work). At the very least, they should have some customer help line and sell replacement parts and instructions. It was nice when it worked, but if anything goes amiss, you're screwed. Gawker's post below seems to be describing exactly the same problem, so obviously it's not a one-time event. @@hadrianaugustus5712

Hi, I have a make sift "Japanese futon" I was sleeping on an air mattress that resembles a twin-size bed. The air bed deflated and I needed a bed ASAP. I looked online for a pillow mattress and saw a DIY for a toddler pillow bed. And the blog post stated take a sheet and fold the sheet in half the long way (this is the "mattress" cover) and put the pillows in the cover, sew across the pillow cover so the pillows line up in the cover horizontally, I bought cotton pillows and bought all of my bedding from Walmart. I then took my fitted sheet put that over the "mattress" cover with the lined-up pillows inside added a throw blanket over the top tucked it under the pillow mattress to add more warmth. Added a loose sheet and a comforter to complete the bed making process it's been almost a year and I never realized how comfortable this "bed" is. I do pick up my 'bed' every day in order to air it out just like I would if I had a real Japanese futon. Sleeping this way, I noticed my back pain and leg cramps have stopped. I take my pillows and use clothespin to attach the four pillows to a metal laundry rack to air out every day. I store my bedding in the closet and keep the door open to allow air circulation, and I will also turn on the ceiling fan too. One day I hope to own a real Japanese futon mattress.

Yep, that is always a risk. I have not personally ever had a cabin bag weighed outside of European budget airlines, but if I did, I would have to move heavier items into the back pack.

After my wife passed away, sleeping on a traditional bed felt very weird for me. I couldn’t sleep at all. I gave it up and have been sleeping on a futon for the last 3 years. I sleep less than before and feel more refreshed in the mornings. It has been incredibly beneficial to my everyday life and overall health.
