Finally a capsule wardrobe from someone who isn't walking around in short sleeves in February. Completely suitable to Wisconsin weather changes. I love that white dress.

Thanks Marci! I wonder how the weather in Japan compares to Wisconsin. My family has many roots from that state but I haven't visited yet. Hope to one day ;)

Love it! When I had to wear more corporate clothes I found breaking up my suit fit my more casual style then wearing both pieces together. I went from basically never wearing it to wearing I out. I love a good blazer.

TaraWhiteTalks funny you asked because i just resigned. 😂 i was teaching chinese beginner kids around 4-15 yrs old. i seriously had fun but it was the parents that was hard to handle amd my boss as well. lol i think online tutor will be stress free if you teach adults than children.

How do you store your capsule wardrobes? Btw I love your pops of yellow. I think you did a great job putting everything together 👏
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
I store them in a single black IKEA box on the shelf above where the clothing is hanging in the closet. You can see the box in my house tour if you are interested. Thanks for the sweet words =)

Crystal! Great to hear from you again. I'm doing well. Will you be sharing your capsule this Spring? Hope so!
@crystalbright387 жыл бұрын
Hi Tara! Glad to hear that. I do have my spring capsule mostly put together, I just need to film it :) The weather here has been a tad wild. Had snow up through last week, torrential rains with flooding this week and here I'm in the mood for dresses! I suppose rain boots can go with anything though.
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
Haha! Perhaps the bad weather is reason enough to look extra chic. Can't wait to see what you've chosen ;)

Very helpful, thank you for sharing. Really like what you choose. Did this capsule worked well ? What about your summer capsule 2017 ?
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
This capsule was fine. Towards the end the weather was pretty warm so I switched some of the heavy stuff out with some of my summer stuff. My summer 2017 capsule was so similar to 2016 so I decided not to film it. In the process of deciding if I want to continue with 4 capsules for each season or do something else =)

Great choices Tara! I am still pulling mine together. We begin April 1st, right? Struggling this time...
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
Struggling to choose pieces or find pieces? It can defo be tricky sometimes. Good luck! I'm sure it will turn out great. My spring runs March - May. I run my capsules on a slightly different schedule that works better with the Japanese seasons =)

TaraWhiteTalks Both. These last 3 months have shown me that I need to go back to my most comfortable & natural style of skirts and casual dresses. However, the last few years (before discovering minimalism) I have just chosen random printed tops and bottoms haphazardly. This explains why I had so much trouble putting outfits together! I'm not left with very many pieces I can use so I'm almost starting from scratch. We live in an area that is not close to very many decent shopping places, so I am struggling to find things to even purchase. We are driving about 80 miles tomorrow and that's just to get to an old navy! Ha! Bless our hearts. Praying I can find a couple of dresses at least and maybe a denim and also khaki skirt. It's going to be pretty hot & very humid soon & at least until Oct/Nov. 🌞
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
Wow! 80 miles is dedication!! That is awesome that you are learning what works for you. I totally understand though, when you don't have enough basics it can be so difficult. I had the same experience and have spent the last year or two really focusing on those staple/classic pieces that I ignored for so long. One thing that helped me is that I do shop and buy things year round when I see them. That takes some of the pressure off because I do have trouble finding things I like. If I limited myself to shopping a few weeks a year I would never have anything. Good luck! I really hope the shopping trip is a success!!

I did the 30 day mins game. I am not working on curating my own style. Do you know any good minimalist men's Business (causalish) fashion? or recommendations?
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
+pmexplore For men I think Uniqlo and MUJI are two brands that focus on more quality fabrics with classic designs. It is a good place to start for basics. Thanks for watching!

I love ypur. Videos!! Could you please share with us your shampoo and conditioner that you use as well any other natural hair treatments? Your hair looks so healthy! : )
@TaraWhiteTalks7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, making a video on hair soon. Until then I just use a natural shampoo (goo.gl/d4mV71) and an apple cider vinegar rinse (Just a tablespoon in a large jar). I currently wash 2-3 times a week. I also supplement with MSM (goo.gl/1N0LWL). A few times a year I do an overnight coconut oil hair mask as well ;)
