Oh I agree it is a complete waste of money. I have one more idea that will basically allow me to use the full MST and the larger filter. You can always try to reach out to mst and see if they can sell parts individually.

Yeah these are super easy to install and I like the look. Granted they are nothing fancy and more rally oriented vs looks.

What did you use? I had to use the intake piping and half the shield from MST for support.

@ a 3.5 in ecs oiled intake filter. I upgraded to a longer wider one and works perfectly

90mm is the OEM opening.

You will be surprised how capable these cars are. They handle really well actually and are just enlarged hatchbacks.

Because for some of us this vehicle specifically brings together the best of both worlds, coming from small tuner cars all my life, with this I get space, comfort, luxury, refinement(my family actually wants to ride in my car now lol) without having to sacrifice my enjoyment of driving something that’s fast, responsive, sounds nice and handles well, and I don’t have to have two cars. Having an SUV doesn’t have to be boring anymore! Trust me never in my life did I ever consider driving an SUV until I saw what this X3 does!

I wouldn’t stay stiffer. More like planted at the top of the turn. It removed the upper sway of the SUV feel. I always put plastics back to cover it 😝 it’s still not a full race car!! The tool is a life saver.

The star of the channel K said that the car felt more planted today when we went to dinner. If she can notice that it’s positive. With that said yes at the top of a sharp turn the car feels much better and more planted.

Yes that is the way to go. The have done a few more modifications to the intake and that is a better way. Install pipe then heat shield.

@@LifeofPandKI can confirm this method worked very well. I just installed a similar air intake made by MAD. There were no instructions included whatsoever, so I had to find a few KZbin videos to help me out. None of them provided every step, which was frustrating. Your video was by far the most informative, so thank you for posting it!

I am glad the video helped. MAD intake is basically the same as MST. Dare I say rebranded?

@@LifeofPandKYes, rebranded is the most accurate description. It did end up fitting very well once I “wiggled” things around a bit. Also, for the strut support bar, I highly recommend getting a torque wrench so you don’t end up over or under tightening the bolts. 👍🏻

Most likely yes if you have air suspension.

Try disconnecting your phone from any other in car WiFi connections. I found that to help a lot with connecting to the camera.

@@LifeofPandK Yes I do have to go and do that. But the Wifi in the camera sometimes doesnt want to turn on.

I just have to be patient with it. I still like the unit.

That’s good. It is strange my only issue was at first setting up the connection after that it has worked well.

I want to say it’s due to the intake changes but who knows. I am no expert.

If you want to go that route. Where I drive the person in the rear is responsible for controlling their vehicle. If you get rear ended it’s their fault. So no real need for rear facing camera.

I love them. They help a lot with keeping some of the road grime away from the pain on the car.

This is a great suggestion. I didn’t know this existed!!! It will definitely help me out on the wheels back on. For the wheel locks i do not but I also had to replace all the bolts with longer ones. I believe you will need to get longer wheel lock bolt as well.

@@LifeofPandK one final clarification, get 2 of the wheel hanger pins and you don’t even have to try to balance the tire on your feet! Just slide the tires through the pins and voila!

They are the factory style 887M. I believe they are offset 32 and 7.5 width.
