Caskets are rectangular and used in the US. We use coffins in the UK which are more human shaped. Monarchs get placed in a lead coffin and then an oak coffin and are entombed under the floors of various royal chapels. I'm sure there are some people who have used caskets in the UK but we more commonly use coffins.
