must be at least Tekking king to perform this in ranked match, I usually spam 1 after b2 parry
@XiangsGamingАй бұрын
This would be more of a match-up based thing. So you would be looking for it ahead of time, not trying to do it on reaction. You don't need to be TK to make that kind of gameplan. And doing df3+4 after a parry is even simpler. Again, just gotta examine your situation and prepare.

hey, wondering what your opinions of this are a year later? I’ve only ever used DS5 and i play Jin on tekken, my dpad is completely mushy and almost unusable. Having seen all your primer/guide videos, i’m wondering how your dpad is holding up? Thanks for the video !
@XiangsGamingАй бұрын
@JSarko_ Really sorry for the delay. I actually saw your response, meant to come back to it and reply, and just forgot. That said, functionally it's the best controller on the market, imo. This is ignoring old ps1/ps2/ps3 pads. Those aren't sold new anymore, but honestly? I still think the victrix is better. There is still one big problem with it. When I made the vid, I pointed out two problems. They updated the app to work with the BFG pretty quickly, which was really important since customization is a big feature. So that fixed the first problem. The other problem, though, is replacement modules, which they've only half-fixed. You still can't get them online, but they have started to sell them at events where they have a booth. So for example, I bought some replacement dpad modules at Combobreaker last month. That's still not a complete fix of the problem, but when I bought those replacement, the booth attendants did say they're working on getting them available online. Once that happens, it'll be the perfect controller.
@JSarko_Ай бұрын
@@XiangsGaming No worries dude, really appreciate the response! That’s a bummer if you can’t get the replacement modules online, i think it will be better for me to wait until then because i already know for certain i’ll burn through the dpad with ease. Having never used a pad that isn’t DualSense 5, i struggle to see what makes a dpad better or worse as the mechanism to generate inputs are the same no?
@XiangsGamingАй бұрын
@@JSarko_ Again, sorry for the delay. yt doesn't give me a notification on replies lol Dpads come in a lot of different styles, and much like a fightstick, you end up getting an array of sensitivities, placement angles (like the physical location of the dpad on the controller), and so on. That said, the dpad on the victrix is only important in-so-far as you can replace it, right? That's the big selling point. So I don't know that I'd say the victrix has the best dpad ever made, and I actually don't mind the dualsense dpad, but the fact that you should in theory be able to cheaply replace the dpad module is what should make the victrix superior to basically anything else. That way you're not replacing a full pad every few months. And since the victrix does have a good dpad, it's an ideal controller if those replacements are available. But I should also say that what makes the victrix stand out isn't just the dpad, it's everything else. For instance, for me the greatest controller ever made was the original design of the Hori FC4, which had a 6 button layout. First time I'd played on a pad that had 6 button layout and I can never go back lol. The victrix allows me to use that style. I could go on, but you get the point. All of that, though, only really matters if you can get replacement modules. No one is trying to buy a $200 pad that becomes junk when I button/dpad/stick breaks. So yeah, I don't fault anyone at all for waiting until those are available online.
@JSarko_Ай бұрын
@@XiangsGaming Really do appreciate this response man, thanks so much. For sure being able to replace the modules when it gets dodgy is the biggest thing for me here. The dual sense is the only pad i’ve ever used, and i’m not sure if it’s due to the design but everywhere i look online, people say it’s the worst, i’m not sure if that’s due to the material of the buttons or the dpad mechanism itself but surely the mechanism behind the victrix dpads itself isn’t *THAT* much different. Besides the dpad though, what you’ve mentioned about having the options for a 6 button layout is also a big reason. It seems like a very good investment. So yeah, I think i’m gonna wait for the modules to be available online. i think my final question now is, have you tried playing mishima with all the dpad options? what seems the most comfortable/the easiest to use from the options? the dpad was the cross design appeals to me more as it’s the closest to dual sense but have you tried the circular one?
@XiangsGamingАй бұрын
@JSarko_ No problem. I currently play Reina so I need a good pad for that as well. Which, to answer your question, is why I go for the cross dpads as well. I do prefer one piece as opposed to the middle portion being underneath the plastic. But I also don't have a huge issue with that style either since dualshocks have been that way since the ds1. That said, my issue with most modern pads are the triggers. At least with the victrix I can lock them AND disable. So they won't move and I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting them.

VERSION UPDATE 1.04.01: Nothing big for Lee, just a couple of small adjustments.

VERSION UPDATE 1.04.01: Zaf got several buffs, but two rise above the rest. First, running 1+2 is quite a bit faster, gives a little more advantage on block, and it's now homing. Second, 14 now gives a lot more advantage on hit, such that a followup TRT df1 cannot be escaped in any way. This gives her one of, if not THE, best jab punish in the game.

He definitely has weaknesses but i personally dislike the direction they went with him. Hes wayyyyy too cheesy. His mids are weak but he gets amazing highs and solid lows. His combo damage is amazing. I think he is a little too strong rn. As a leroy main i have nothing to complain about.

T7 has something like this but I can't say it's the same with in T8. If I remember correctly, I needed to do uf 4 and release 4 before the recovery frames ended. (not sure if it needs to be complete df 4 N. But I kinda remember if I didn't release the input, one of those HEWWWW weird summersalts came out. And if I released it too late, the normal summerslt punish came out.) T8 is more forgiving in input buffering, plus he lost those weird summersalts. So I believe the inputs must be simpler. Thank for sharing.

I'm testing now with Feng's db3. The punish input seems a bit easier. But I'm not sure.

hey, XiangsGaming. I watched a lot of your tekken guides in tekken 7 and it helped speeding up learning different characters for playing myself or learning the matchup. Just wondering when you're going to post the written guides for your guides again and write more advanced guides for veteran players learning characters quickly. I WILL PAY FOR YOU! (not a joke)
@XiangsGaming2 ай бұрын
I really appreciate that. It's more of a time issue than money. That said, I don't write a full guide for these basics videos because something that deep isn't necessary. But I will probably start doing full written guides once I get to more advanced character guides. Wish I could say exactly when that'll be but I'd expect those once I get through the basics guides.

after listening to the whole podcast, really enjoy it, would love to see more keep it up! Also if there's any chance, could u guys do the podcasts live? The podcast is a few days old, and it's already outdated by patchs (example like Azucena wr32 2nd nerf) if it doesn't interfere with the Patreon content, then I'd think people would love engaging with you guys. Because honestly most of the points you guys talked about have been addressed by the community days ago, some even weeks. + the point of podcasts is unfiltered, unedited takes, so making it live would make more sense.

I feel like someone who's too lazy to look up what DSS means before knee-jerk mansplaining "feedback" is going to be in a world of discomfort in any PvP game, much less a 1v1 PvP formatted one. I hope you don't ruminate too much on it.
