You know what's scary about this final battle? Omadon WON. No seriously. It was never about over the top scary monster Peter overcame and beat. It was always about MAN denying world of magic. And fear and greed and hatred infesting the spirit of man. Hence the dark events in humsn history. And the RED CROWN enduring.

Rather poignant moment here, how when Ommadon challenged Peter to deny all magic, we see him pause at 2:56, because he realised what will happen to him if he makes the denial. Ommadon pushed him, he made the declaration, knowing that it while he would be victorious, he would lose his connection to this fantasy world and everything about it, which he had loved all his life. He made a very heroic sacrifice to save a world he would never see again.

Yeah, it kills that part of him that wants to believe impossible things can happen 💔😭 ... until his girl shows up at the end in the pawn shop :) Such a great movie with some really powerful themes :) 80s "kids" movies were on another level :)

By enforcing materialist logic to refute all other ways of thought Peter has hastened the end of all other magic in the world and thus ensured Ommadon's victory. He showed us how he was going to influence mankind towards that end, up to and including the atomic bomb. Peter's from the modern world and what do they have there? Atomic bombs! OMMADON: "Deny ME and you deny ALL magic. Say it!" PETER: "I Deny ALL magic!" You played right into his hands!

@KingOfGamesss9 ай бұрын
It depends on your definition of the word "War" in this context. Obviously you mean it in the physical sense which is definitely horrible...but in the literal sense 'War' is a necessary duty for moral martyrs (True War is not fought using physicalities...it is fought through Self-Sacrifice in the name of 'Utopia')
