Absolutely brilliant video, thanks! As a Yorkie, you should be used to the rain though 🙂

would’ve loved to see hillcrest
@nickyfurmage2 күн бұрын
@antimissilemissile out of all the places in the game, Hillcrest is the one area that is fictional and not actually mapped to real life. If I ever do go back, though, I would cover all the other locations outside of downtown. Thanks for watching.👍

Your video was brilliantly beautiful! I will be visiting Alaska this summer. HA land and cruise. Anchorage to Denali by train and Whittier to Vancouver BC by cruise. You both looked totally awestruck. Thank you for sharing your travels!

Thanks for watching. The railroad was a fantastic experience, and I would love to do it again someday! I hope you enjoy your trip, sounds great! The previous video to this one we drove to Whittier, another cool day👍

@nickyfurmage12 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching, we stayed in the Grand hyatt, Seattle, on Pine Street. It's the one I point out in the video that u can also see in game . Its just close to the theatre and the convention archway. 👍

@nickyfurmage did you feel safe in that area? Ill be travelling alone
@nickyfurmage10 күн бұрын
@HannahIvy Yes, it was ok around that hotel. If you want to see more of what it looks like around there I did a 2 part Seattle vlog before heading to Alaska. (Not TLOU related, though😁)

I have just two simple words for you. They might not mean much to you and people hear these two words everyday in their lives but the two words that I want to say mean more than just their meanings. These Alaska trip vlogs I have watched in the space of one week have been so uplifting, life affirming, full of your personalities, your time and effort all on screen, full of fun, full of drama, full of incredible images....... and those two simple words are "Thank You".
@nickyfurmage17 күн бұрын
Very kind words, mate you're welcome.👍❤️ I'm really glad you enjoyed the vlogs, they took some putting together all them. We are going to binge watch them all again one day, great memories!

Great series - awesome and well edited videos. My wife and I are doing a similar trip to yours in Aug/Sep 2025 and your vlog has been incredibly useful as I do research - thank you so much for putting it together. One question, did you find it safe walking around Seattle and Vancouver? In between and either side of an Alaska cruise out of Seattle and a Rocky Mountaineer trip out of Vancouver we have about 8 days in Seattle and 5 days in Vancouver and we plan to walk extensively.
@nickyfurmage23 күн бұрын
Cheers mate thanks for watching! Seattle felt much like any other US city I've been to, you do see quite a bit of homeless around etc. Where we stayed was a great location and the tourist things we did were fine. In my 2nd vlog when we went up the columbia center, around the Arctic Hotel was pretty sketchy and I wouldn't recommend hanging around that area at night. Areas such as South Lake Union on the other hand felt very safe and very chilled. 8 days is alot so you can easily take your time, we only had 1 full day in Seattle not including the arrival day then we were back at the airport. Vancouver was very clean and didn't feel sketchy at all.

Wow looks great Nicky, I have to say when you opened the window and panned to your right I wouldn't have been surprised to see a very small woman in a red hooded coat, very much a Don't Look Now vibe going on there. Loving the drone and camera work. Looking forward to the rest of your trip, on my bucket list too and shall take your advice and go later in the year.

How were you able to have a private table for dining? The shared breakfast tables are the only thing giving me pause.
@nickyfurmageАй бұрын
@sookylee- the table we were on was just for 2, 2 seats and a partition they have some like that on the end of the car. Maybe you could request that, we didn't but that's where got seated.

I just got back from a rainy visit in Seattle and stopped at a few sites. Stumbled into Pacific Place by sheer accident and instantly recognized where I stood! As you mentioned, the attention to detail is staggering. That Naughty Dog included the real life glass awnings seen on many of the buildings as part of the game mechanic is just insane! Well done video! You seamlessly merged in game and real world segments together with in context narration from memory and it shows how obsessed of a lad you are! You’re my people!
@nickyfurmage2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Pacific place was on my radar to visit all along, I could see it's roof from my hotel window. I enjoyed making this video, if I ever re visit Seattle, I'll be sure to make another video of all the other places outside of downtown. Cool you got to visit. I hope you had a great time there. Thanks again, it's nice that fans like ourselves have enjoyed watching👍

Just a heads up. If you book your cruise to early starting from Seward you won't be going on this train and have troubles getting a bus to Seward . I am trying to rearrange my cruise and start in Vancouver and then end in Anchorage or fairbanks. 😂
