Hello, my friend. The wrath itself is unleashed... Balin's army is so powerful, that I don't think that there can be any army in Middle Earth to challenge it - perhaps the Gundabad doomstack, but against so many AP units, I doubt. Balin should secure Framsburg and Eorlstone, so as to complete the realm and unite with Oin, before marching on Burzakul. Think well where the new general would go - I would send him in Framsburg, along with some of the garrison of Maethelburg, so as to keep a watch from Wrakyaburg, the only town reamining in the hands of the Snow Orcs. I'm pretty confident that you'll finish the Goblins in Nochva Rhaglaw and I suggest that you sell the town to the Dunedain, so as to have them in a good and united front against Angmar. This army should return and smash every rebel, aka ex-Goblin, army on its road back, before getting retrained in Cameth Brinn and High Pass to go against Angmar from its south border in due time. I agree with an attack against Isenguard with Durin, however I think that an elite army should also go for Oin as well, exactly because OIn deserves it for all the things he has done in this campaign. Durin can become the governor of Isenguard, unless you give this post to another general, but Balin and Oin, with the best of the best at their armies, shall clash with Angmar and Ered Luin. But this has to wait until the completion of the destruction of Gundabad and the Goblins. And now,let's see what Dain responds to Balin in his letter about the situation in Ered Luin: To King Balin, Lord of Khazad-dum, The news that come from the Misty Mountains are so good, that my duty is to congratulate you for your success. Your wins in the battles against the Goblins of Moria and now against the Orcs of Gundabad are a joyce for us here in Erebor and in the Iron Hills, so much that our armies are to march out following your example. Our situation is not very good, as we must support our allies of Dale and Dorwinion in their titanic fight against the Dragon of Rhun. The Easterlings are experienced in making war, well armed and organised and pose a very big threat. For this reason the diminishing of Gundabad is great news for us - and as a King to a King, I thank you greatly for this help. For your fights and battles, since your expedition started from Erebor, I, King Dain II of the Longbeards, declare officially that the realm of Khazad-dum will take all the line of the Misty Mountains, as well as the west bank of the Anduin and every town that is currently in the hands of the Orcs of Gundabad. The Kingdom of Khazad-dum will have its own authorities and lordship, as King Balin has set, as well as its own laws, which come from the tradition that all the Dwarfs follow everywhere in Middle Earth. Should King Balin wishes to expand his realm upon the neighbouring lands of Angmar, he has the permission and high authority to do so. King Balin has the authority to make any deals with Beorn and every other leader of the Free Peoples on his behalf and his words will be of the supreme acceptance of me, as I, King Dain II of all the Longbeards, continue to hold the High Kingship of all the Dwarven kingdoms of Middle Earth and the Kingdom of Khazad-dum is under the high protection of the Kingdom of Erebor. And now, we come to the very subject that King Balin wants my opinion. I cannot help but say that this was a very difficult decision to make and the High Council was arguing for many days about the proper action. In the end, the ambassadors of the clans Ered Luin left the High Council - in contrast, the ambassador that King Balin has in the Council stayed loyal and firm to it - and this can mean only one thing: war. Lord Elrond also contacted the Council, him expressing his sadness about the actions of Gridfarn and his cast, of whom the Council received a full report and we all agreed in this condamnation without haste. However, taking the arms and attacking Ered Luin is not in my wishes, as I am not the one who will bear the disgrace of breaking the armistice among all Dwarven realms, as it is on the Code of Durin. And my councel to the dear friend King of Khazad-dum, in answer to his very polite and appreciated question, is to do the same: neither me nor King Balin are allowed to attack our kin in a civil war, that will bring only disaster and will please only Sauron. Because if we are to attack first, this will bring all of the Dwarfs of Ered Luin under Gridfarn's banner and under the influence of the self-proclaimed faction of the Grimborn and their lies. Yes, it's true and in Erebor we know well that the nightmare of old, this faction named "Grimborn" has risen again in Ered Luin and they have taken the control of our western realm. Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel, who are touched by the treacherous actions of Gridfarn's minions, also advise us not to be the first that attack, in order to gather the support of our kin who are oppressed by Grindfarn and gain their support when the inevitable war will begin. Let him attack first, but prepare your defenses. Then, we'll have the necessary legitimacy to strike back. This is my answer and I really hope that my beloved companion and brother King Balin will consider. With best wishes, as a King to a King, King Dain II of the Longbeard Clan in Erebor and the Iron Hills.

I dont think you get the Beleriand Honor Guard. They're not in the files for Khaza Dum. If you want, I can mod them in and send you the file. It's not hard to do at all, and I could add whatever other units you want.

How does one go about modding units in the files?
@galvatron08107 минут бұрын
@tonyelcano8107 Galu has a video on it. Just look up unit modding his video should pop up. You just have to change a few lines of code in the files and copy and paste a few files. It's not to hard to do but it's easy to mess up and it'll make your game not load. Always make a backup copy of divide and conquer before you mod the files.

@@Ligizdif you really wanted to retrain the axeguard of Erebors, sometimes the ai changes their capital from Erebor (quite rare for the dwarves though), you might be able to buy it from them, retrain the axeguard and then sell it back to Erebor. It would cost thousands but is probably the only way to retrain them if you really want them.

Now that was some insane luck... Ballista flameshot is slower and way less accurate than normal shot, so when the crew tried to anticipate (at the moment) sprinting Uruk's point of impact they whiffed it hard when Uruks suddenly stopped.

I'd suggest sending an army to take Isengard regardless of the ring situation: great for income and recruiting, will take pressure off Rohan, and the AI factions will clean up most of the remaining armies for you. And from a roleplay perspective, it does technically border your realm at the base of the mountains.

Great work taking the Northern war where it hurts, and good to see Erebor is also bashing orc skulls (maybe they are up for territorial exchanges?). Siege engines in bottlenecks are murderous, nice job utilizing them. Encouragement for trying figure painting, just don't pick a Lamenter marine or Eldar Harlequin (checkerboard patterns on curved surfaces are maddening!).

Hello, my friend. A great episode, I thought the situation would be much worse. But you managed to get the very much needed reinforcements to Oin and now he is in quite a good position. Yamilaiello621 is speaking with my voice, it seems, as the campaign goes towards a weird completion of the Dwarven Grudge: claim Angmar as a whole and then wage war to Ered Luin and complete this line, holding the North and let the rest for the Dunedain. I suggest to give the last Goblin settlement to the Dunedain as a token of peace and friendship, because not only you don't need it, but also you'll give them a united front against Angmar, as you backstab the Iron Crown by invading to Morva Tarth, Mount Gram, Litash, Carn Dum andthe rest of the towns till you reach the Ered Luin territory. What a glory would it be if the elite stack with Balin leads the fights against the Witch King!.. Oin, from the other side, must get rid of Burzakul and march till Framsburg, while you give Wrakyaburg to the Vale and have a steady frontier along the Anduin. Thus, by the time you'll go at war with Ered Luin, you'll have smashed everything else. Economy is back at its feet, your armies will very soon be entirely unbeatable, so you only have to march to war. Don't forget that you have the Hall of the Seven, thus the Axeguard of Erebor can be retrained in Khazad-dum! And reiforce as soon as possible the garrison in Buzra-dum, because I'm pretty sure that Grindfarn will attack. And now, we have good material for a good episode today: Oin's gamble paid off. There was no Orc between them and Gundabad and the armies took their feet south. Even Oin could not believe his luck. "If the fire burns everything, only then shall hope light up again!", he murmured as he guided the tired army to the feet of the Mountain of Durin. And the siege was prepared. Ghurzog didn't wait for too long. His hopes had been betrayed, as he watched the Dwarven army march broken but unyielding to his gates, while the other Orc camps preferred to stay away... He then stayed within his doors and let the Dwarfs come in. He knew, of course, that the dreaded Dwarven catapults were right there and he had no hope to resist. Thus, the fight had to begin only after the gates were down. Well, yes it did, with the Orcs attacking right before the Dwarfs were in a battle line to storm in. Oin, from his part, formed a battle line behind the gates, not exactly what he wanted, but there was space between the gate and the Dwarfs. That was the chance, Ghurzog thought, and with everything he could get he formed a big blob that pushed outwards. However, the catapult commander was one of the Ered Luin Dwarfs, trained after the likes of Gurin. And he was a very competent commander, seeing the blob of the Orcs right where it was formed. The grapeshots were so devastating when they came, that within minutes three out of four Orcs were dead. Many Dwarfs saw Ghurzog hit by a grapeshot and his head, his right hand and both his feet been blown away by a single shot... That was the time when the Orcs broke, with the cavalry following them and massacring even under the gate. "Heyo, my Lord!", Borin greeted Oin after the battle. "I was looking around after we got Gundabad. The Hall of Awakening is exactly there, awaiting for us to restore it". "That's very good!", Oin greeted. "We have to get to work immediately. But wait... If we are to restore the Hall, it should be the most glorious of all times. It's Durin, after all! And I think nobody remembers how it was". "But for one", Borin said. "We have passed long years reading the traditions. And my cousin Broin is a mason. Shall we write to him to come and supervise the works?". "What a wonderful idea!", Oin said after some time. "He is really capable, especially after the glory of Khazad-dum, which he restored fully. Yes, I'll write to him personally. But how he has the knowledge?". "He found a book in the Hall of Mazarbul", Borin said. "Few remain that can read those ancient runes, but we can, as we were taught by our uncle. Broin can do the job very well and in that book there is the Hall of Durin as it was. For him, it's an easy job". "Perfect!", Oin said. "I'll write to him in person. But...", Oin looked suspicious at the parcel the guard besides Borin was holding. "What you have there?". Borin uncovered a very precious hammer, with gold and silver decorations on the shaft, long as the height of a Dwarf. In front there was a spiked hammerhead, behind a spike and another spike on top. Shiny it was, albeit there were some signs of rust and it needed some work. Oin took it on his hands and swinged it for a while. "I've heard only rumours of it", he said with a voice that broke from his sentiments. "I can't believe in my eyes that it is exactly this hammer...". "It needs work", Borin said. "Logical, after all these years sealed... And the filthy Orcs have left their mark. But by your order, the Hammer of Durin will come back to life, in your hands". Oin simply nodded, as the sentiments were so strong, that he could not even speak. Balin got in Khazad-dum West through the Door of Holin, but he didn't receive the welcome he imagined. Dark were the faces that greeted him and he got in the chamber of the governor to ask what on Earth was happening. However, Gurin got first. "My King", he said. "If my heart was not so broken, I would be very happy to see you again". "Can someone tell me what is going on?", Balin said. "We are winning everywhere, Oin is in Gundabad and he asked Broin for the restoration of the Hall of Awakening, for which I gave my permission. We should celebrate by now". "Grindfarn finally imposed his will", Gurin whispered. "He asked us to help him attack against the High Elfs". Balin only whispered a "What?!..". "Gor attacked against Mithlond right as the Elfs reclaimed their home", Gurin continued. "He then asked our help against the Elfs. Needless to say we denied". "You did well", Balin's face was now clod and decisive. "We shall not attack our dear allies! What on Earth! That's work of Sauron". "And I can say to you that many of our kin run in exile", Gurin said. "Yesterday two of my friends back in Ered Luin, who didn't join me when I came first, were found roaming in here without food. I took them with me to help me with the works and they told me that they were exiled and Gridfarn's pawns want their heads. Grein has accepted other refugees of this kind that made the dangerous journey from Ered Luin down to Buzra-dum. Unfortunately, my Lord, the situation cannot be redeemed. Grindfarn took over the power and the Clanlord succumbed to his will". "I understand very well", Balin said. "But the decision to take arms upon our brethren is too dire to take it so easily. I'll ask the councel of Dain". "I understand well, my King", Gurin said. "It's the right thing to do. But I have to say that you'll find more support than what you think if you finally decide to take the arms against the filthy Gridfarn and his pawns".

For some books you cannot go wrong by anything written by Dan Abnett. Gaunt's Ghost is easier to get into too while his Inquistion trilogies Eisenhorn Ravenor and Bequin it helps to have some background knowledge. Lore channels wise, I avoid most as too many inject their own politics or just read the Lexicanium verbatium in a poor voice. Notable exceptions. Baldermort - great voice weaves his storytelling into the text. Oculus Imperia - speaks as a member of administratum giving a lesson , good speaking voice. Janovich - Animator who has thing for the Death Corp of Kreig, very good series on the Siege of Vraks

Great episode, it would really be interesting if Erebor accompanied you in the destruction of Gudabad... Or help the Dunedain by getting the goblins off their back... And for you to claim the northern lands (Litash, M. Gram and Cardum) are settlements with large mines, a good place for the dwarf people... Finally a war with Ered Luin, a massacre of brothers. While it is true that the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm were allies of the Noldor elves, it could be canonical to retake the gray ports and return them. Maybe taking the blue mountains would also be a good conquest... There are many possibilities !!!
