Funny 🤣 how the Delta countries love their herring?? As an Australian 🇦🇺 born to Bangladeshi parents “they love their Hilsha fish cooked in mustard curry. Looks like the Dutch 🇳🇱 love the same fish 🤭…….

You say onion's Pickle's overkill. For newbie best way to mask Herring flavor. I have never said honey smell my finger's. Yes pull them. Never smell.

Great video. When I go to the Netherlands in November with friends and we use Amsterdam as a base I really want to visit The Hague and see this. But it's not just the pier from what I can see in your video the beachfront looks amazing too. It looks like there is lots to do down the front. I only wish we were going at a time with a bit warmer weather and more daylight.

The usual clichés about what you call “Belgian food” but is in fact limited to the déjà vu sweet treats. At least, try something local, such as the neuzekes (also called “cuberdons”), that would be a great Ghent product. Or, as Belgium has a great culinary culture, try the Ghent waterzooi. Instead of which, having a Brussels waffle in Ghent (it’s apparent that you don’t even know the difference between a Liège and a Brussels), honestly there’s nothing local about your trip. It’s all about clichés about a Disneyland type of Belgium.

NGL when i first saw a fish n chips bus in netherlands i was so excited, but i cant lie i was really dissapointed , first of all ots like 1/3 of the size for almost same price, and its normal fries not like the ones in uk , and no curry sauce for the fnc wich is also dissapointing, in general uk fast food seems much better

I was raised eating a diet primarily comprised of lake and stream caught fish (stergeon, trout and large mouth Bass) and venison. Hearing, in fact Kippered herring is my absolute #1 favorite snack!!

I was in the Hague for a few months and I can never forget the smell of herring carts a block away! Nobody had to tell you that the herring carts were very close! Whew!! Guess you know I'm an American. I just didn't grow up with herring snacks. You can find hot dog carts and tacos/tamales from the truck vendors. I'm from Texas so, Mexican food is very popular!

Love your videos! I just had to say, @3:29 those weren't "banana chips", those are plantains. Plantains are cousins of bananas and grow in tropical climates; they are starchy and you can make it in a variety of ways (like the chips you ate in this video). In Puerto Rico we eat them boiled, mashed, smashed, fried, pickled, etc. I hope you get to try them in all their wonderful varieties!

The reason for the confusion about the name of that ball is it was up until late 90's or something like that called a n*ggerball. I know it sounds crazy now and it wasn't meant racist but some people still call it that.
