Should have torque the rotor bolts and the hub nut. Also maybe packed the bearings. For the inner, you could use a grease gun and a needle adapter and the outer by hand.🤷‍♂️😊

Grease is required in tue breakpa ds. And you installed the sensor on the wrong side; they get installed inside, the outer breakpad you can see to check it.

Thanks, I have a bit of a roaring noise that is really noticeable with the back seats down. Hoping it isn't the pinion bearing, I'll try this first.

Word to the wise; tighten the pinion shaft lock bolt before loosening it. That bolt tends to break upon removal. By tightening the bolt slightly any bond between the bolt, carrier, and pinion shaft will be reduced and then the bolt will be less likely to snap off into two pieces. Unless broken bolt screw extractions are your thing then this little pro tip may save time and money..

I enjoyed the video. I would say that when removing the ring, you should rotate which one you hit at each interval. Hitting one single location will work, it will also delaminate the edge of that hole you're hitting against unless using a soft tipped chisel which he did not attempt to use. Rotate the holes used to hit when removing the ring, it'll cause far less damage to the ring holes. It's not really an issue, just I prefer to do as little damage as possible during any repair.

@@kryhtzon the fuel rail there’s a little screw on cap. Unscrew it and stick something in it to open that valve and then all the excess pressure will come out.

I wonder if mine might be leaky... it takes several key cycles for the pump to build up enough pressure to start my 4.0...and if you shut it down for even a minute, you have to repeat. Newer Bosch pump assembly even. Are these replaceable? Do you have to replace the whole rail?

This video was incredibly helpful. I was a little nervous about doing brakes on my car, even though I've done dozens of brake jobs on commercial vehicles. For some reason, the fact that this is a Mercedes was somewhat intimidating. I will give props to Mercedes engineers for designing a system so easy to work on. Your step by step instructions, which included tool sizes gave me the confidence to attempt it. The front brakes took me about 2 hours total, during which I referenced this video several times. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and for making it clear and easy to understand.

The silicone will squeeze out the side a little but not enough that it will get mixed with the gear oil. Just lay on enough to get a good seal and that's all

Excellent video. Dodge dealer wants $1025. to replace my fuel pump on my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 with only 52,000 miles. They are telling me the pump cost $600 + 3 hrs. in labor. Thanks for this video it seems it took you 1hour 15mins. A new pump cost me less the $200. Rick Lake George, NY

It's best to check the fluid level in your axle after this job, yes. What's kind would vary on what your particular axle calls for.

I see so many people stumped on the stud spinning and say to hold it with channel locks there is a 5 mm Allen key hole in the middle of the bolt to hold it still it said simple literally takes almost no effort no channel locks or anything 🤣

Your absolutely right, there is a 5mm Alan key in the center of the stud. However, it does me no good what so ever what size it is when it strips right out at the first turn. Thanks for the comment though 😁
