Emulsion Tube (orifice tube?) has the holes around it, designed to aid in 'atomizing' (making fuel as small as possible) fuel and air together. Guitar strings 'E' 'B' 'G' string offer sizes to clean holes. As far as the 'O' ring being 'glued' back together....MAYBE????? for a while. You'll know. That plug in the emulsion tube looked like it was from a Bee attempting to nest.

I worked all morning on the oil pressure kill circuit and then the carb to no avail. Finally, I saw your video and unplugged the CO sensor cable. It ran fine but would not shut off via the regular kill switch. So I joined the two black wires and then the regular kill switch would kill it. My CO circuit board had no visible problems. Since we run this outdoors in a makeshift shed, CO is not a problem. So all fixed. I can't believe a year-old unit would fail. It just confirms my belief that everything built from 2020 onward is crap.

I have that snowblower. It primes,and starts fine. I used it 2x since buying it a few years ago. I keep good fuel in it, and run it periodically for 15-20 minutes. It has now started to leak fuel out of the air filter gasket. Is that just a gasket issue, or a float issue?
@thesmallenginerepairguy9 күн бұрын
If it's leaking from the intake, I would bet it's a float issue. Also know that if you over prime the fuel, it will leak out of the intake. Keep that in mind.

Any advice on how to best put these away for the season? I’ve had mine for three years now, and twice I’ve started the next season with a dirty carb. Once I stored it wet with albeit bad gas, so that one is on me, but this year I stored it dry and it was dirty again. I’m thinking maybe with ethanol free gas?

First you should ask the owner if he treated the gas with Stabil or Seafoam to stabilize the fuel. That will give you an idea of what you need to address. Most people don't have a clue what old gas can do to a carburetor during off season storage and that's where most of the problems start when the owners want to use them again. If the gas was treated with Seafoam during the off season, you probably won't need to work on the carb at all.

That white item is the actual co2 sensor they are fragile and will break like this under vibrations in any device that has them. Bad design by not supporting it in the device like gluing it in so it doesn't move.

Could you have just cut the green/yellow wire ? It’s the same as disabling the low oil cut off. I am told that works but never tried it.
@thesmallenginerepairguy2 ай бұрын
Honestly, not sure. The research I did was this method so thats what I stuck with.
@57haldir2 ай бұрын
I called Westinghouse and so far they have not had any calls as to this defect. I told them to expect some because people are still recovering from the hurricane. I also ordered a spare. I plan to take it apart and see if the resistors and capacitors are loose and perhaps add some boot glue to strengthen the unit. Just experimenting. Finally, I figured that this must be caused by vibration so before I even run the generator, I unfastened it from the frame and I’m going to suspend it horizontally from either some string or rubber bands. Perhaps if you isolate the vibration and keep it horizontal, it might mitigate against this defect. Just a thought. I haven’t proven it yet but that’s my plan. Thanks for your video and for your reply. 👍🏻
@tntphillipians41342 ай бұрын
What about the unit not even starting at all. Can that be the problem?
@thesmallenginerepairguy2 ай бұрын
@tntphillipians4134 that's probably a different issue. Spray gas in the intake and try to start it. If it starts up for a couple seconds, you have a fuel/carburetor issue.
