Interesting. When I look at the USC defense I think to myself, Your D lineman are to slight framed, and then I hear what he says about O'lineman here and his thoughts on their athleticism and physicality. Im not a coach but to me I think the concept on lineman is the very thing that lost him his job. Im sure its more complex. Personal is a big factor, but the SC defense just looks weaker at the point of attack. Maybe athleticism doesn't when out in all cases.

This guy is a legitimate psychopath-narcissist, 200 words/phrases to learn? "NEKTON mentality"? Nektons are basically fish or anything that moves in water, so everything from a lobster to a blue whale. Absolutely insane catch phrase for him to latch onto. And Row the Boat is all about his child who died, sadly, but it's all about HIM and his cult of personality.

“Speed turn” is a natural turn for when DB’s get beat. And now it’s being taught as a technique. We have to face it everybody can’t play corner. Why teach getting beat when we should be teaching how not to get beat improve your back pedal opened up at the proper steps versus allowing a receiver eat your cushion up. maintain your leverage. Don’t allow a wr to stack you in press. Know ur coverage know Field versus boundary. Study film be familiar with all the route concepts of your opponent and u will never have to use the god awful speed turn aka getting beat every again. As coaches we need to stop teaching this

As someone who grew up with soccer but appreciates American football for what it is.. I've always wondered why they don't just build a team around this. I'm a dumbass when it comes to football but this guy is kinda riding the wave I have been for years and he's a vet. Super fascinating

Zach Johnson averaged 40.9 yards. You are absolutely insane Jeff. “He had a big leg” lol. I averaged in high school … my JUNIOR YEAR! A big leg and out kicked his coverage ? I went on with Detroit and Tampa. You know what I averaged in camp ? 50 yards with an average of 4.9 second hang. That’s a booming leg , dickhead

Brilliant break down, he’s focusing on creating leverage with the front 7 to lower the need for the secondary having to come down to stop the run.

underrated vid. It really helps if you suddenly decide to turn into a PG from being a streetball 3p shooter ballhog. It changed my mentality and now i pass a lot more and pay attention to my teammates, instead of shooting forced shoot. In fact i try to shoot only when defender gives distance now and value passing, and the guy scoring with your passes really likes playing with you.

This great game has always been teaching you're players to play with their eyes. I've been coaching for 25 years high school level and that's the first thing I teach them at any position. That's been football coaching since football started.
