@@richie370 I was going to make and sell plan but I just haven’t found the time to do it. The truth is half the fun of making the ORCA is doing the research, it’s such an amazing boat.

@ I agree, one of my favorite movies and love the lure. I would absolutely buy plans for it in 1/6 scale so please keep me in mind lol. The one I’m building now I bought plans for years ago but they were in 1/14 scale if I’m not mistaken. I ended up scaling them up 165% so it’s roughly 1/8 scale, how ever the hull is slightly different from the one you did. I believe yours is correct.

@@richie370 yep it took me 2 goes to get the hull right. Luckily the film is so loved that there are tones of photos from fan on the net even a set of it being lifted out of the water. I posted info on the RPF ,all the photos on this video are from my thread

When I was 12 years old I made a 8 foot long ORCA to play with my GI Joes on. I forced my Dad to buy a six pack of Heiniken Beer which if you remember in the 70s were shaped like barrels to make the shark barrels. I think this project has all the passion that I had as a kid. Thanks for sharing and documenting the journey.

Since Jaws is the greatest movie of all time the obsession to recreate Orca, Bruce and the boys is a dream not everyone has the skills for. This is one of the coolest things ever. Now I can't wait to see the stop action movie.

I am astounded at your loving attention to detail, your skill set and your obsessive attention design, detail and execution. This is museum quality work and you should be proud of your dedication to excellence. As the Foreman of set construction for local hires who built both ORCA I and ORCA II and the "Bruces", I would be happy to have you work on my crew should time travel ever become available.(Nice tools and shop too, btw.) WOW wow wow. This is an amazing video. Not just the incredible finished model but the entire thing. great pics. great audio bed. great look at the entire involved process and all the different skills used to attain such an outstanding build.
