Sorry my friend...I just couldn't handle the music...couldn't hear your father. Very distracting. Like your channel though.

Nice review. Very good point about being comfortable in any country with the Himalayan given the durability, simplicity, and finding mechanics and parts.

Ok you make life too difficult for yourself. Simply leave the inner weights inside and go get a countersunk M6 60 screw to fit the stock inner weight. Then using the new screw, the guard and the weight and single spacer the job is done in 1 minute. Don't over think this simple installation.

At 52 years old I had planned to testride many many bikes before bying my first motorcycle ever. However, as soon as I swung my leg over the first - a used cb500x - I felt so at home that I bought it on the spot. No regrets.

My used 2014 cb500x came ready for silliness with crashbars, skiplate and footpegs from sw-motech. It also came with some dings and scratches so I don't have to worry. I've added barkbusters, usb-charger and ram x phone mount. Oh, and pirelli scorpion str tyres for the slightly stoopider shit. Brilliant bike, good video.

i have a cb500x, its my first bike, I'm still learning a lot. Sometime I go practice uturns and similar drills in a car park, any advice you would give ? are you going in second gear?

After watching this video I paid a reservation fee for a bike like this! 2018 model with the Grand Tourer Edition kit, only 8,000km driven. The same color too. Hopefully getting it next week! So hyped! Does she still own this bike? Is there anything new she has learned about it?
@thebrightrider15 күн бұрын
She's still riding it and happy with it :) Happy for you! Enjoy!

I don't see a mention of checking that the chain adjuster is in the same position on both sides. You must adjust both sides equally to keep the rear wheel aligned with the front wheel. If your front wheel isn't in line with the rear they will fight with each other when you're cornering and create uneven tyre wear. The way to actually see if both wheels are aligned isn't to go by the sprocket to see if it's straight with the chain, you need to run a straight edge across the diameter of the rear wheel the length of the bike across the diameter of the front wheel, measure the distance between the straight edge and the front wheel, then do the same on the other side. Both measurements should be the same.

Yet another thing we in the U.S don't automatically get when we buy bikes, preload wrenches, all we ever get is that same ole cheap helmet holding wire.

Great video! Touring on a motorcycle and enjoying it doesn’t need a lot of cc. The most memorable one I had was one where I toured the south of India with a pillion. The bike was a Bajaj Pulsar 150cc with 12-15BHP of power at the most, no top box, no panniers. It was super reliable and that was pretty much all that mattered to me. Keep riding!

I bought the Hornet last year and it’s a really good bike and it rides good, I just can’t get over the look of it. I tried to love it, but it didn’t last. I just traded it in for a 2023 mt09sp and that bike I love everything about ❤ Btw tried the Transalp last year to, coming from the Hornet I really felt like the Transalp was down on power to me. Plus the wind screen was to low, i got a lot of buffering wenn riding it. If I was into adv bikes I would 100% go for the Yamaha T7 with a comfy seat 😅

More horsies will mean a bigger engine which will mean an even more challenging off-road experience. I think making this engine bigger is the worst idea RE has had so far. But we’ll see this year with the “450” I guess!

I wonder how such a small motor would handle two people when crossing the Alps

We went to the Alps last year but decided that the CB500X isn't powerful enough for 2 people + camping gear so we went with 2 bikes :)

Hey, I've been following your channel on and off for the last 3 years. I also have CB500X like you, but mine is the 2021 model. I also tested the new Transalp and I LOVE the power and feel of the bike but just like you, I really don't like the looks of it. I find the headlight the most off-putting element of the looks because it's taken straight from the CB500X, but it just doesn't fit the bigger Transalp. The second reason that makes me hesitate on upgrading to the Transalp is the tubed tyres. I really don't understand why Honda won't provide an option for tubeless tyrers... If Honda changes the headlight and puts on tubeless tires for the 2025 year Transalp model I would buy it immediately. Safe rides!

I don't speak English, but I have heard an English song that has three sentences written like this. It's a new dawn , It's a new day , It's a new life . The name of the song is <Feeling Good> It is Volvo 2015 XC90 Chinese version advertising music . Chinese musicians added new lyrics to it, and I put the translated text here.

I love the morning when the sky is slightly bright Walking on the road with dreams in mind Street lights go out one by one, and hope ignites in the heart Walking out of the cold night and into the dawn, I walk towards the distance And I'm feeling good I love the gentle breeze that blows after the rain It reminds me of the tenderness of my lover She accompanied me to endure in the hot summer days Accompany me in the past, accompany me now, accompany me forever, you And I'm feeling good I love the fresh grass in spring It makes me feel the beauty of life Like a child's laughter forgetting worries Give me now, give me the future, give me forever Autumn light scattered in the morning Finally ushering in a brilliant season In the golden time, I want to share with you It's a new town It's a new day It's a new life For me And I'm feeling good And I'm Feeling feeling feeling good And I'm feeling good And I'm feeling good
