Can you use it longer then two monts if you did only filter 10 litres qater with it the first two monts? There is activated charcoal in it and I did read a lot of it and also this: When you first use this, so from day one where you activate this charcoal, so the first use, mostly it is so that then one month later the working is not there any more (or much much much less). Also not when you did filter just only 5 litre with it this first month. So is this also true with this Pure Clear water filter? And does'nt it loose his electricity from the whole filter itself, two monts later after used just 5 or 10 litre water or so? Because this is how it works is it? So is then the electricity or the electric magneticy?. So that the negative poisons do clamb on this magnetic electric loaded filter because the magneticy is gone after two o first use, so also if you did filter only 10 litres in this two monts?

I've had minor issues the two times I've been to that area, It was no less boggy on the other side of the river when I went in May! It's like you either stay leat side & camp at crow tor or head up the wistmans wood side to get to higher white tor. Lower white tor a little further on has amazing camp spots. Great to see the three of you out, lush vid👍
@clairesoutdoorodyssey2 ай бұрын
I did wonder if it was going to be as boggy on the other side. Perhaps it's a good thing we couldn't find the crossing. Yes, you're right. The second I saw the leat I knew where you were 😁. Lovely to see all three of you in this one. It's a shame you had to bail, but sometimes for the best, especially when conditions turn. Besides, Walter would have been a proper grump if you had made him camp out like that 😉

👍👍👍 .. nice 😊. Home-made Alcohol Burners also give me much satisfaction. I try and use materials 'salvaged' during my walks. Fillings. I have filled most of my alcohol burners (only the 'white box' not) .. even my Trangia, with combinations of Ceramic / Glass Wool / Carbon Cloth. I don't use a steel mesh to keep everything in place .. if necessary, a thin strip of tightly-wound Carbon Cloth stuffed in at the top, works well. A stuffed Trangia 😳. Not as heretical as one thinks 😁. Burn efficiency does not appear to affected so as to be an issue. It still 'blooms', lighting up in below-freezing temps is easier and one can get the pot onto the stove quicker without risk of the flame being 'snuffed'. And of course, the risk of burning fuel spillage in the event of an inadvertent knock-over is greatly reduced. The pooch 'up to the chassis' in the water 😊. Shades of my little Mali-Poo 💕. On her morning 'river walk' (generally, mornings .. river, afternoons .. the forest), she loves to wade at her favourite spots. Thanks for the share ..
@clairesoutdoorodyssey3 ай бұрын
Wow. I had never thought about filling a trangia. What a good idea. It does seem heretical, indeed, but it's one thing I worry about when I go to dartmoor. I don't use gas stoves anymore. I had a dodgy burner that used to flame up, and it put me off completely (as did the price of the fuel). I bet your dog is super cute. Seems like a good mix. Mine is chihuahua, yorkie and poodle cross. I love the poodle personality. Thank you for your lovely comment and for watching my video. :)
@thomasmusso11473 ай бұрын
👍👍👍 .. nice 😊. Another 'variation on a theme' and if it does the job, one is happy with it, then it's good! In addition, I like your choice in the Solo Stove .. economical and effective use of natural resources and versatile / multi-fuel to boot. It 'takes up space'? Yes .. however, considering that the interior can be packed with other 'stuff' .. not then as much an issue that one would imagine. Would I buy one? They don't ship to Switzerland (I could always get my Son who lives in the UK to do the honours) .. but I currently have more than enough Stoves, Burners, Pot Stands, Wind Screens, etc to keep me occupied (not that there is no room for just one more .. 😏). Anyway, I've moved into the realm of 'making my own' from preferably 'salvaged' throwaway stuff found out there .. keeps me out of mischief 😏. A good post .. and I'm sure that many out there can consider this practical cook option .. thanks.
@clairesoutdoorodyssey3 ай бұрын
I'm sorry you can't get a solo stove so easily over there. That's sad. But at least there's a way, should you decide to (can you have too many stoves?! ;) ). Good idea to put things in the stove. Sometimes I put the alcohol stove in there, sometimes I put it in my pot. It all depends on the adventure (and my ever changing mood.). Thank you for the lovely message. 🙏
