I'm surprised you didn’t mention that the attraction appeared in House on Haunted Hill 1999 film.

I’d honestly rather they didn’t remove the Simpsons ride. If I went to Universal studios it would be near the top of my bucket list. If it has to go, I’d rather they exported the ride bit by bit to Disneyland, and reinstalled the Back to the Future ride in its place.

My big guess is that right now, they're hoping the future Illumination Cat in the Hat project will give them a jumping off point to update the land with the Animated Renders as a justification for allocating the funds.

It would be cool if Universal was in talks with Paramount about creating a Star Trek ride to compete with Disney's Star Tours to replace The Simpsons Ride...just imagine...Star Trek: The Ultimate Shuttlecraft Experience...they could even make the queue look like the DS9 Promenade or Starfleet Academy.

Remember when my mom and I did the muppets 3D the one in dca. She really enjoyed it and all of the things at Disneyland. I lost my mom to cancer many years ago and then I recently lost my bff who was my 2nd mom to cancer who also enjoyed Disneyland. They were not big fans like me they went once r twice with me. ❤ everyday it's hard.

Something not mentioned here is the lack of Simpsons characters in the ride voiced by Harry Shearer. None of his characters make an appearance or speak in the ride. Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, Otto, Rainier Wolfcastle, Dr. Hibbert and more.

I wish I got to ride this ride. It closed a year after I was born. I did ride the Simpsons but having a ride where get to sit in a delorean is a dream to me. If only bttf at Japan wasn’t replaced and despicable me was put elsewhere.

Great video, thanks! 🤗 Personally, I don’t think this ride should’ve been replaced! Same goes for JAWS (thank God the E.T-ride is still there in Florida!) These movies are the true PEARLS of CLASSIC Universal films, and should’ve been allowed to stay!! As much as I dig The Simpsons ride, it shouldn’t have replaced the Back to the Future-ride! The BttF-ride’s video was hand-crafted, made out of impressive miniature scenary and TRUE film-creating-magic, while The Simpsons-ride is just an all computer-graphics lazy-made video, when compared. So sad they removed BttF 😢 It doesn’t get more classic than that, and the films are still as popular as ever ♥️ They should RE-build it and have it replace that HORRIBLE, lazy, boring, soulless Fast and Furious ride! 🤮

My 14 year old daughter loves the back to the future movies, i wish she could've experienced the ride. I have park maps and great videos such as this to take her on a trip down memory lane.

Throughout 2024, Universal has been doing a lot of subtle fixes and upgrades around USF and IOA. Everything from simple facade facelifts to sourcing repairs for hard-to-find old parts. All seemingly in an effort to keep the older parks from looking dingy and outdated in comparison when Epic opens. My best guess is that it's finally easier for them to do these kinds of updates since they can negotiate bundle deals with the suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and designers who are working on Epic. If you're getting a bunch of brand new upgraded wand magic for Ministry, then you might as well buy a few more and update the older ones, too, right?

I think that they should personally take down the simpsons ride. Yes, it's a beloved series, but the truth is that it can't last forever. Disney owns the rights, and that is just the simple truth. So, if it were to be removed, what could go in it's place? Here's some ideas! 1. Back to The Future 2.0! So, this is the most obvious answer because that is what the ride originally was, but bringing that back in the same state it was would feel kinda.. cheap? So, here's an idea! We FULLY update the original ride. New scenery, new film, new EVERYTHING -voice lines for Marty McFly. Make it insanely realistic, or even change the story slightly to give it a unique feel and it's golden! Just as long as there's still dinosaurs! 2. Jaws Yup, the Pricy one's here. Strip the building, and remake the jaws ride. The ride has been asked for over and over and over again. It's either here or take doen Fast N' Furious for Jaws. BOTH VIABLE ANSWERS. 3. Jurassic World Oh, you thought the previous answer was pricy? LOOK NO FURTHER FELLAS! Turn the building into the visitors center, and then install a transformers-esque dark ride where you take a tour through jurassic world that goes horribly wrong and you must escape inside your tour car.You could make that entire side of the ride

No wonder Theodore (Dr. Seuss) and his estate hate theme parks - the parks start to get neglected, run-down, and turn lame all over money issues and then finally get cancelled and shut down anyway.

This and popeye’s are easily the best water rides in orlando, right next to eachother
